Ms Shalini wears this saree so well. Shows a world of difference of how the blouse, make up & styling DO matter.

This saree is the best outfit featured here at this party. Nothing beats handloom.

+1 .. after all the garish MM outfits that have rid the rest of the world of any sequins, this is the first one to make some sense.

Who would have ever thought that a time would come when Vidya Balan would feature among the best dressed?! I’m glad it did though!

That is because some are blindly wearing whatever atrocities their stylists are giving without questioning them. And some are drowning themselves in chamkis/sequins which has come to a saturation point. They lost at not having a personal style. And Vidya won because of having a personal style and not falling into the trap of bling and fancy dress competition.

+ at the fancy dress competition..
All of the dressing up our celebs do seems exactly that way.
And they’ve taken the dependency on stylists to another level!

i don’t understand why anyone would need help wearing outfits *all* the time, and then get it wrong so many times too.
I can understand for really formal events or red carpets etc.

But these guys look like they take their stylists to vacations too.
Even kids usually know what they want to wear…

Agree kids know what they want to wear and when to wear what. I don’t understand of not having an individual sense of style in some celebs cases.

        I’m glad too!

Agree with Sapphire– she sticks to her guns when it comes to personal fashion choices. Apart from dependency on stylists, other celebrities are also obliged to lend support to designers. I think MM had a show at this event because of which we saw most of the A-listers in his atrocious sequin-fest. This really kills individuality and personal style.

Agree that they have to lend their support to these designers as a part of maintaining connections. But I always see Dia Mirza, Preeti Zinta and Diana Penty wear very elegant, understated and nicest pieces from MM’s collection when they support him. That is because they have good taste in clothes and they have a good personal dressing sense. Sadly many don’t have it. Hence these atrocities.

Nice colors but the bright gold pallu is kind of out of place.
