In Vikram Phadnis

For the charity fundraiser, it was a Vikram Phadnis sari for Vidya. With her hair in an updo, a bright red lip and gold earrings finished out her look. She looked great!

  1. She’s a very pretty woman but I can’t help but feel that every time she wears a sari in this style, it ages her by at least 10 years.

  2. No, she does NOT look good. She is what, 36? She is dressed like a 55 year old here. And that is the way she carries herself as well. That saree is horrendous. The drape is 1975 housewife. The hair is tacky. She is under-accessorised. This is a fashion blog, let’s stick to fashion (the fact that she is a great actor has nothing to do with this blog). This is a bad, bad look.

    • Ha ha. Bad look, totally agree. I have never seen her even wear the sari proper so much for being a South Indian if we even forget the stylist is doing a bad job. Hair is horrendous in most cases. Tacky accessories usually coupled with fulgy footwear. Apparently because she acts “good” so free pass on HHC.

  3. She looks pretty ! It could be the camera lights that make her makeup look a bit harsh … pulling a few strings off the side of her face with a loose pullback bun looks nice on her along with the casual pallu style – like :))

  4. I may be in the minority, but everything about this look comes off looking tacky. Vidya’s ashy make-up and red lips, only age her further. She continues to lower the bar for herself.

    • Totally not in the minority, I think. Every year her dressing sense seems to worsen. She could do a lot better. Lets not kid ourselves that she is doing a remotely good job. She needs a stylist from this era.

  5. Why can’t someone just teach her how to drape nicely? That pallu is horrendous. Why not neatly put it across your shoulder instead of bunching it up near your arm and carrying the crushed fabric everywhere? It is a pity, the drape makes the sarees look crushed. Looks like she makes no effort to dress up at all!
