  4. I like the chudidar, but without the horizontal striped bottom. Vidya’s saree is very elegant – but these kind of sarees can be found by the dozen. If Vidya swapped her boring long sleeved blouse, with a nice red/black blouse, which has a better cut neck (rather than the broad ones she wears) and is a little longer than her current one, it would automatically become age appropriate and current.

  5. Sneha looks gorgeous,
the tunic is nice but can’t see anything designer in it. we used to get similar kind of lovely cotton (block printed?) fabrics from gurjari and get kurtas stitched the neighborhood tailor and mix and match them in college days.
I like some of sabyasachi’s creations but his new template seems to be to get some gorgeous weaves from all the country, in this case it is a kerala sari if I am not mistaken, kanjeevarams or ikat prints such as pochampalli, bomkai etc and attach his standard borders to them. Though I admit this may help in popularizing these beautiful handlooms among the jet set, as somebody pointed out in an earlier post these saris will look equally lovely by themselves if properly accessorized and with well designed blouses, for instance sridevi in her kanjeevarams or dia mirza in her benaras (?) silks do this beautifully.

  6. God that middle one hurt my retinas-like those blinged fuglys that are hung up in every other shop. And that tights/chudidar is weird.

    The other two are unremarkable.

Saby needs to do something new – at the moment it looks like he is desperately using up the yards of material he had ordered.

    • Its not a Kerala saree. The Gold border in the Kerala Sarees is a bit more subdued and a different shade.
But it looks like handloom material……….

Hated the striped chudi bottom of Sneha. It makes her legs look heavy.
