I’m confused by why people are surprised that she is beautiful. What did you guys think before? Did no one watch Parineeta? :S

What is hour idea of beauty? She may not have interest in western or skimppy clothing but she is one of the beautiful women Bollywood. She is self assured and is true to herself. Love her style.

Oops! When I said “surprised” I didn’t mean that I was surprised that she is looking beautiful, I meant that I was surprised at Mansi’s initial comment about her not being beautiful. She is just gorgeous.

I think Vidya and Kangana are not one of the cookie cutter heroins floating around. They bring in a lot of personality to the photoshoot or movie. Love it.
Having said that, Vidya should refine her style.

Completely agree they are two of my fav actresses. The reason why they aren’t “cookie cutter” is because they are not models. If “Ishika” isn’t available for a movie replace with Kazina, Fareena, Nayanka, Sargis. You get the drill. I like the personality in this shoot for sure but I do think artists should evolve like Kangana has evolved her look – Vidya should do the same she shouldn’t slot herself.

she is beautiful in her own way

she looks ethereal here, love the red and blue saree pic a sabyasachi I presume? The black and white pic is simply beautiful. Vidya knows what suits her and sticks to it , not everyone suits a cocktail dress and 6 inch heels – good for her.

Love her individuality. Thank goodness for a few actors who really are that first- actors, rather than just a glam figure. Her old world charm sets her apart.

I think we can safely add Vidya Balan’s name in one of the few thinking actresses from today to joined the famed Hall of Fame, joining Smita Patil, Jaya Bachchan, Jayaprada who were not afraid to give it all to achieve cinema excellence!!! Great to still have some of them around :)

Isn’t this a look that has been done to death by her? Would like to see her change it up at times….

  16. Monalisa at | | Reply

OMG is she gorgeous or what! Though she luks a little out of place in short dresses(her carriage more than her body is 2 b blamd 4 it),she reigns dis territory dat no1 can even touch! Especialy goin bonkers ovr d b/w pic.

I am just happy NOT to see any obvious signs of Photoshopping…She get it. Totally!

Now that’s a cover with some character & spunk! Was sick of seeing over-styled, pouty, fake-attitude pics on every magazine cover. Love it!

what a beautiful woman. absolutely does it for me. her personality, the WOMAN shines through.

the last pose is so vulgar. is it an “in character” look? i am so tired of her “dirty picture” appearances.

    1. Keertana at | | Reply

Exactly! Couldn’t agree more. Was this AWKWARD-AS-HELL pose at all required?

    2. shriya at | | Reply

i don’t find it vulgar as she’s a woman in control of her sensuality.

    3. hal at | | Reply

Well the headline under Vidya’s name on the cover is ‘The New Sexy’, so I think they were trying to balance her old world appeal/thinking woman image with her ‘Dirty Picture’ avatar. I think it really succeeds. She looks beautiful and interesting – sexy without being an empty object. I’d way rather have this than Vidya in a tube dress and platforms like so many BW actresses.

    4. ProudToLookLikeMyBai at | | Reply

Not at all. She is one of very few actresses who seems entirely comfortable with her sexuality i.e. not someone who is titilliating and catering to male fantasy but someone who is in the game for her own pleasure.

are yo guys serious?? except for that black and white pic, where she looks amazing, other snaps are anything but classy…reminds me of the song Chinnamma Chilakkamma from movie meenaxi…!!
