In Manish Malhotra

While at the recently held Awards night, Vidya picked a Manish Malhotra anarkali for her appearance. Metallic sandals, big earrings and a messy side-braid finished out her look. Fit of sleeves aside, she looked nice. Of course, with softer hair worn down, different earrings and a glossier lip, she’d have looked even better.

  1. Stunning is an understatement! How lovely does she look. I love the hair…earrings are a minor gripe…Vidya please continue to dress this way…Simply adore her!

  2. Vidya chooses a style and then decides to stick with it for the next few years if not more. She did that with Sabya saaris n now she is doing it with side braids. Well nothing wrong with it, but stars are expected to lead the fashion world. And the least we can expect is variety. Bored to death with anarkalis. I wish hhc had the option of customizing which celebrities i want to follow and Vidya would be the first to go off my list.

    • She isn’t a star (like salman khan). She is an actor. And there is no rule which says stars are expected to lead fashion. There is no harm in dressing in a way you feel comfortable. May be she doesn’t like changing it up. Rekha doesn’t change her style either. I haven’t seen even Katrina change her hairstyle . Don’t think they need to be criticized for it. I think we should be open to both people who wear fashion on their sleeves and people who follow a particular style because they are comfortable.

      • agree. i don’t think all stars need to lead the fashion world. especially when one is talented and need not depend on being just a clothes horse to stay in the news. I know enough actresses who get oohed and aahed over their fashion sense but would never be able to carry a movie on their shoulders. To each her own.

  3. Her makeup, hair and earrings are perfect. Good thing you girls are only bloggers and not stylists 🙂
I’m not a big fan of her lehenga but its not bad either.

  4. Agree with Bhakti Irani, she looks the same in any designer wear. Tacky! The side braid is like real messy and the white washing is adding to the already bad appearance.

  6. She looks really good. I am not an MM fan and had I seen this outfit on someone else, I probably would not have liked it as much. Great colors.
