Thats such a beautiful saree but Vidyas looking messy in it. Shes such a naturally pretty girl but very unpolished when it comes to her personal style – case in point, the three kurta/jeans combos below. Unlike some people I like her saree choices, being Sabyasachis muse doesn’t hurt either! But she should pay attention to the details.

Ha ha ha.. I was wondering what you meant by patriotic. The wheel is missing though!! Why is she wearing the same type of kurta, and it might look nice with chruidars rather than denim.

The saree is typical Sabya, nice but predictable. She needs better blouses.

She is being herself and has her own style… love it!
But the lack of jewelry does make the look incomplete.

    She does look lovely though…

bad picture. she looks like a deer caught in headlights.
and you dont really mean the joke about patriotism, do you? :)

the saree is almost boring. even madhuri dixit wore something exactly like this, albeit to very different effect…

i didnt think her look was incomplete. why is it that indian have that tradition of HAVING to wear at least one piece of jewellery…i didnt even notice it that we wasnt wearing any at the first glance. :D

i love the saree…one can never get enough of sabyasachi sarees…:)

Agreed- I don’t understand the requirement of jewellery even though I am very much INdian..:)
I’ve grown fonder and fonder of Vidya’s outfits and how nice she looks…She’s getting lovelier by the minute..

i agree – she looks unfinished. on the other hand, i love her cheery yellow and green tunics! not so much the white though.

i actually like her better in her casual kurta jeans attire. the sabya look is boring. and ya atleast bangles are a minimum with saree

I don’t at all think she looks ‘unfinished’. She looks lovely!

I love that Vidya embraces more traditional sarees, but I think shorter sleeves may be more flattering to her. Most of her sarees are quite conservative, and when paired with long sleeved blouses, she often comes across as dressing too mature for her age.

I don’t really understand why she would pair such long tunics with light-wash denims – she may as well have paired them with churidaars, or at least black pants.

She doesn’t look unfinished, she is good-looking.

aah when will we get to see her sepia toned vogue photo-shoot :(

I think she looks fine, real and down to earth and a happy, refreshing change from the plastic-y trying-too-hard specimens we often find on these pages. The saree has enough details to allow for lack of jewellery. Go Vidya!

she is too insecure about her dressing. she has found a style and is sticking to it like a uniform…should geta stylist who is able to coax her to try some more designers , even if its only for sarees. I’m sure even sabyasachi is bored of her look now.

the sari is beautiful. Can’t help wishing someone with a better fashion sense had worn it and done justice to its beauty.

Would love to see Kareena or Preity in Sabya saris one of these days.

The phrase “stuck-in-a-rut” couldnt do more justice to anyone else!!!

Goodness…that patriotism joke is SOO lame ! Just because u r caught wearing a red kurthi one day and a white one does not mean, u r suddenly feeling indonesian, polish or singaporean (flags w red and white basically!). Lame lame lame…! Its 3 separate looks, not tricolours on one day.

But ya, she could have worn big jhumkas with the saree.

Ho hum…am soooooooooooooo bored of these half n half Sabya saris. They all look the same and have been copied by every darzi worth his measuring tape for miles around. And quite frankly, the rip-offs don’t look all that different from the original!

Please Mr. Mukherjee…have you heard of a word called ‘innovation’?

she looks ok. aishwarya wore the same sari at ravan’s premier in london

She looks elegant and graceful. The sari does the talking. Why should a woman look ‘finished’ only when she wears jewelry?

i wonder why vidya is always berated…i think she looks lovely and like someone above said.. i didnt even notice the lack of jewellery…
