In Masaba
January 11th, 2012 at 2:07 pm . by PayalWe don’t have full lengths yet but here is your first look at Vidya Balan in a Masaba sari at the new jingle launch of Big 92.7 FM. It’s nice to see Vidya diversify by picking this colorblocked printed sari featuring Tamil script.
P.S. This isn’t the first time Vidya wore a Masaba. For ‘The Dirty Picture’ shoot for Stardust, the actress was spotted wearing a striped one.

This print does nothing for her frame. I love VB the actress but otherwise wardrobe wise she’s a mess and always has been. That pose with the sari that she always has with her hands clasped is so terrible. If most of your wardrobe is saris then at least learn to work ‘em when you wear them.
You know! I got to give a shout out to Masaba! I think she is the only designer who doesn’t do overboard “opulent” all the time. Its nice to see more graphic prints! That being said though, I do think some of her pieces tend to look the same.
P.S Also Ms. Balan looks pretty great in the Tamil Script outfit

Ewww. Look like truly horrible half-saris.
I just hate concept saris. Oddball prints and combinations are OK in a dress, not 5 yards of effing material.
Keep it simple and classical designers.
I am not liking what I am seeing. The colors are not doing anything for the saree or for VB. Total misfit.

how pleasent and fresh she looks in the ‘right age attire for her’ :P
though some of the masaba’s combo looks weird, the best thing about them is that they are so simple, yet add that classy look (no, i am not talking about vidya, i am talking about Masaba’s mom Neetu’s picks.. still remember :))
she looks radiant. But, me thinks, the yellow contrast somehow makes her feel shorter than she is….esp in the second picture or is it the camera? not sure…

I wish there was no script on the saree and it was just that gorgeous golden yellow….the script ruined it.
she is so pretty… its not that she doesn’t do justice to make up etc…. full on made up doesn’t do justice to her pretty self x

The sari is not aesthetically pleasing. Nobody can save it
I am not if i like the saree, but i like that its not another sabya or vidya (though, she does wear them well too).
