Don’t like the saree – doesn’t feel festive at all, looks very drab paired with that blouse. Wasn’t Diwali a perfect occasion for her to be dressed in a nice kanjeevaram? And that neckpiece is quite an eyesore.

Agreed, why a white sari for Diwali?

I don’t think a white sari is flattering for her

        Yeah! Why??

Great choice to pair the saree with that blouse. But the bangles are excessive and unnecessary when she is already wearing that statement necklace.
Hair and makeup is predictably ordinary as always.

Why always dress up like a Amma ?? Don’t think you are that old Vidya…

      Lol. Dont insult Amma though.

Uggh, I am sorry this is not a good look at all. Gives me a very God woman/ elaborate sanyason vibe.
And ages her by a uncool 30 years

Her face is lovely, really like the saree and blouse; however, I am really not on board with the no earring look especially when the rest of her look is that traditional; rather than a statement necklace , a pair of statement earrings would have really looked good

Love the whole look, especially the jewels, but not for a Diwali party.

No, that’s a very drab saree. The whole look is extremely underwhelming.

This hairstyle is giving her a matronly Amma look. Plus the green bangles are giving a tacky look to the overall outfit.

LOL! Trust her to look shabby/eye sore even with “designer” clothes & acessories. No fashion sense even to pick a good sari /accessories. One of the ugliest neckpieces I have ever seen.

The whole look ages her by 10x.

she looked older than her age!

Such a drab saree, and that tacky neckpiece.

I think she looks fabulous. I love that she embraces her individual dressing style instead of going down the bling route most celebs do.
My issue with all the Diwali outfits is that they were either black or white. Why no colour? Was there a dress code we weren’t aware of?

Say hi to dadima… No really! Why wear a sari that ages you like 40 years.. Hate. it.
Hate that white sari.. She does a lot of color and when a festive party needed color she does white and ghattly grandma styling…

You know just like people like Sridevi and Shilpa give us goals as to how to dress up and look in fifties…Vidya shows us how NOT to dress up and look. She is much younger to them but looks quite older only because of the way she dresses.

Her face is so very beautiful. I can never forget the first time I saw her in Euphoria album. I was awestruck with her beauty. But her dressing sense really baffles me.

I wonder if she has a stylist. If she doesn’t, she should get one try different styles which would suit her body type and sensibilities.

Chikankari saris photograph horribly, so some of the drabness may have to do with that. What on earth is that necklace though?
