In Anita Dongre

While at a radio station for her upcoming movie’s promotions, Vidya was photographed in an Anita Dongre suit. Silver kolhapuri wedges and big hair is all that it took to finish out her look.

While we are all for an easy cotton suit in the summer, its styling left us feeling a little cold. The hair and shoes add so much heaviness to the look! Braided hair, or even partially pinned back hair with some jhumkis and flat kolhapuris would’ve taken this look all the way to the finish line.

    • Vidya is like the greats of yesteryears, Rekha, Rakhee, Smita Patil and Shabana
She is known for her CRAFT!!! NOT for how naked she can be. Most others in Bollywood are measured by HOW naked they can be, its a race to nudity.
Today’s Bollywood females can be compared to Helen or Bindu as far as skin show and emoting skills.
They are either almost naked or wearing some over priced designer’s crap in order to “prove” something
Vidya does NOT have to prove anything unfortunately

Those that believe she must are measuring her by the Bindu and Helen yardstick, please use it for PeeCee and Deepu and “Kat” . They probably love the attention
PLEASE spare Vidya. She is TONS of substance. Everyone else is not even style….

She is the only one that makes any sense in Bollywood.

      P&P PLEASE POST

    • Your comment seems like in lines of what Sonam said in an interview if you look bad then you are a good actor and vice versa .Very silly and applies to yours too. Not surprising desi mentality still is short clothes-skin show means no substance. Shabby and covered up means loaded with substance.
P&P , i am getting tired of these commentators who always attack anyone who is not in line with their opinion about their favorite actor. So much bullying. This is the main reason i even stopped commenting.

      • The bullying actually starts with P&P continuing to post pics when people are ‘off-duty’ and of those who don’t really care about fashion. This is then compounded by certain commenters who have predictable reactions to such pics. Perhaps such ‘commenters’ are PnP themselves!

        • Yes, that is indeed us. Because we have 48 hours in our day and between our day jobs and researching and posting content, still find time to be such “commenters”. 🙂

      • Well said. Precisely my point. These ones make such a hue & cry, write lengthy sermons on each comment supporting her shabbiness because they probably see themselves as Vidya Balan. lol. If the same look was donned by PC, Katrina or Deepika. I wonder how they will get ripped through. PC is a damn good actor too, she was amazing in Barfi. And not to mention she has a national award too if awards are the criteria to look friggin shabby.

        • But I don’t understand why you don’t seem to get that a point can be made without being downright nasty, which you are all the time. It’s like vidya is a punching bag for people’s frustrated minds. You can whatever you want inside a certain line of decency.

          • Disaster is the only word I can think of within the line of decency. Maybe next time I will just say yuck, since so many use it on many celebrities. 😀 It is rather amusing to see that the nasty comments made on yesteryear icons like Helen goes unnoticed.

  1. The straight kurtas suit her better than those huge anarkalis. But yes, I agree that tying her hair back would have elevated this look.

  2. Prefer the straight suit over the voluminous floor length anarkali. Like the hair too. The shoes are too flashy. Muted wedges would have been a better choice.

  3. She is honest about not being into fashion – continuing to post her pictures and nitpick and criticize her outfits despite that is not cool.

    • Agree 100% with Madhu. Here’s my 2 cents: Feature people whose fashion choices you like and feature them. Don’t keep featuring people whose fashion choices don’t appeal to you. Especially the ones who really don’t care about fashion. Wouldn’t it nice to be a blog about celebrating fashion choices instead of criticizing and looking down on people whose sartorial choices don’t match yours?

      • Agree with Madhu and Dippy! I was wondering why Vidhya lands on this blog when she clearly doesn’t care about fashion. What’s the point of keep talking about her “not so forward” fashion choices? What she is wearing above is a very basic everyday look for so many Indian women. She looks casual and comfortable but that’s where it ends!

    • I agree.. HHC, I don’t think she was out to impress any of us…this was a casual outing and not one that we need to dissect to the T. In the future, I wish you would post images that stand out for the fashion and not to just invite critique.

  4. I think she looks fine here. Like several people have pointed out, infinitely prefer her in this kind of silhouette than the anarkalis

  5. Minus the kolhapuris this is what most women in india wear everyday… No use nit picking over her choices if she doesn’t care for fashion…
