Vidya Balan looks gorgeous, but it seems like she has been heavily photoshopped to resemble Nargis, Madhubala, et al.

I was wondering when you guys will feature these covers!!
Vidya Balan is looking fabulous in a very Meena Kumari/Chhoti Bahu way…so beautiful…so luminous! Wish Sabyasachi would style her in her social appearances too instead of just giving her the sarees!
Deepika’s retro glam cover is spot on…clothes, make-up, pose, expression, colors…just totally awesome!!
Yes, fashion mags, watch out!! :)

Deepika’s pose/shot is very been there done that. Seen many versions of the pose with the retro phone over the yrs in international magazines.
Love the b/w cover – v stylish although Vidya is unrecognizable.

This is brilliant photography. The light and subtle sepia tones on the Vidya cover and the retro tones in Deepika’s – fantastic. Makes me want to buy Filmfare! :)

Vidhy looks the best. deepika cover shot has been done to death and she is so whitewashed.

LOVE the Deepika cover, that Shrivan-Narresh thing made the picture even more fun! Vidya’s cover is also quite nice, even tho there’s less of a surprise element on that cover.

That film fare cover styling is as tacky as a Bollywood movie used to be, or maybe it’s meant to be that?

  26. Lotus at | | Reply

Is deepika and Katrina the only ones they can keep using on covers. Yawn.

would love to see Padukone as the next Bond gal. Last heard they (MGM) have been looking forever, for an Indian girl for their next Bond movie.
