  1. its called baby steps..but i do like it..i actually like the fact that she keeps her ethnic wear on the traditional side rather than wear really trendy shalwar kameezes/sarees with bad drapes and tube tops…

  2. I like it.. it’s a really pretty outfit!
I don’t think Vidya’s ever going to wear anything other than Salwar Kameez/Anarkalis out in public. So we’ll be stuck with the same boring but beautiful Vidya!

  3. whatever!! … yeah its nice but being and actress means you have to be able to portray diverse roles!!! wish she would PLEASE just try… or else all that talent just goes to waste 🙁

  4. no change…. this is an anarkalli except that the kallis are not cut empire style but from the top of the kurta down….. this is defi an anarkallu albeit a slight shift from her regular fare…. the color is ok on her but i dont dig the leather applique motif on the kurta.
    Its Gopi Vaid!

  5. I think some one has given her a wrong advice of sticking to whites and beiges- pale/neutral colors …and she has taken it- seriously!

  6. I think it’s very pretty, just maybe too much fabric for her frame?
I really dislike the whole blingly bollywood look, so I DO like how pretty, simple and organic this is.

  7. Fabulous. Great colour, classic make-up, worn stylishly and cut beautifully. Emphasises her shape in all the right places (decollette, shoulders and tidy waist ) and hides her ‘problem’ areas (stomach and hips) Love it.

  8. she always manages to get shot from the wrong angle IRL/on the red carpet. She looks so gorgeous in some flickr close ups. Too bad, the angle never works out otherwise.

  9. know what…she can wear as many anarkali’s as she likes…what I really really want is a different hairdo from her! on second thoughts I would like to see her wear different styled salwar suits…even my 50+ mom doesn’t wear the same design salwar suits all the time!

  10. I actually like it. If she’s comfortable and confident in simple looks, then I don’t see why she should need to experiment, it’s quite a pretty salwar-kameez.

  11. kinda pretty but kinda bored of these suits …wish she would wear something stunning for once…

And hey P&P, an update on Priyanka’s new outfits she’s been wearing for promoting kaminey would be nice 😉

  12. Love it. Cut flatters her body, gorgeous colour and combination, did not realise that the applique is leather, thanks Stu for the ID – cannot tell how that looks up close. I really like Gopi Vaid actually.

  13. I admire her for this look – someone who is not ”trying too hard”!

How many stars would dare to be seen in a decent outfit (as in not revealing) now a days? Yet, Vidya manages to ooze dignity, culture and youth!

  14. Hmm.. Vidya is seen wearing only shalwar kameez or anarkalis and Priyanka only wearing skin fitting mini’s or dresses. Vidya is definitely playing safe, while looking good and graceful but Priyanka oh no ! please look in your wardrobe there has to be something else to wear. you are too predictable.

  15. who cares whether she wears similar outifts all the time… she looks pretty, dignified and most importantly FRESH (not jaded, unlike so many other popular stars)

  16. it’s a classic and it’s good. gold & cream combo looks really nice on her. we can’t fault it. it’s not cutting edge but she’s a classic lookin’ lady. so these clothes really suit her. some may find colours a little too mature. but i still think it looks nice. love this site by the way, stumbled upon it the other day. hello from london!
