Cover Wars

27

It’s happened before where the same dress gets used on the cover of two different magazines (Remember this?). This time though, Twinkle wears the Pre-fall Christian Dior gown on a cover that hit stands before Shilpa’s. Even though, for some, having Akshay on the cover too (and no, not because of the ex-factor but just because he is such a hunk) might tip the scales, we prefer the Harper’s Bazaar as it didn’t hide the gown.

        • Shilpa owns this gown, she looks fabulous!
And to Nalini’s comment, how does having a gorgeous/successful hubby make someone better? If anything, as a woman, you should realize the power of a woman- she can conquer the world, on her own!!!!

          • i doubt she really meant that the man maketh the woman.

i mean, twinkle is gorgeous regardless and she’s successful too in her field, but having arm candy doesn’t hurt.

don’t take things so seriously people. LoL like angelina jolie is damn successful, but yummy arm candy doesn’t hurt

  1. i think Shilpa’s hair and her confident attitude wins the round for me..and i don’t think having an attractive husband/partner is the mark of a beautiful woman…

  2. The dress is lovely, especially the draping and the way it falls. But this silhouette, color and the dress overall is a very feminine one; it does not work on someone like Shilpa. The L’officiel cover is so beautiful and Twinkle carries it like it as intended to be. If you notice, the model looks tough, yet is once a gain feminine, body language and appearance wise and thus she also makes it wrk.

The Harpers one is repetitive and pointless.

  3. the twinkle one lightening is just too much to make them fairer and they are way too airbrushed so i have to go with the shilpa cover atleast she looks real

    • LOL. actually, the first thing i thought when i saw the cover was how un-shilpa she looks. if you see it closely for 5 seconds, it looks like someone has smacked her nose, it looks FLAT. like she fell down on her nose of something and her nose permanently held that position . u know the way we see in cartoons? bad bad BAAAAAADDDD photoshopping

  4. The only thing about Twinkle and Akshay cover is… Twinkle is giving a dreamy pose and Akshay is smiling for the camera. Shouldnt both look like “they dont know the picture is being taken” kind of pose?? (case in point – Sonam and Imraan)

  5. Both the pics look like they have been photshoped to death! Its almost like the 80’s shoulder pads…. when designers first invented they thought the more the better and would use it to death… only to realize its not so! Photographers please dont make the same mistake!

  6. Cover-wise Twinkle and Akshay, but of course for the gown Harpers does justice.

Does Shilpa not remind anyone else of Jennifer Aniston? Like random jhalaks/glimpses? It happened to me again looking at this picture, I feel a little crazy.

    • Her name “shilpa Shetty” on the cover seems like an after thought. The editor could have added something to her name to tell the buyers why she is up on the cover.
