I am very curious ( seriously…not being catty at all) as to why she’s dressed up like she’s walking in to /out of a board meeting of some corporation at most most of her airport sightings?! :) She does have an impressive closet of corporate-chic clothes!

Those may not even be her own clothes, it seems impossible to wear such expensive brands just once. She does use the airport as a runway, comfort never being her top concern. Sometimes I wonder she travels only for publicity, maybe just return tickets with nowhere to go… just to be seen at the airport. Whatever the reason for her frequent travels, it still is good to see her on these pages. Long post but had this on my mind for a while now.

@ Sue: I agree that Kangana’s style is more Audrey Hepburn/preppy/corporate chic/ Jackie O, and she rocks that style!

@ Felicity: Her airport sightings are likely due to the fact that she has been shooting for Simran in the US.
“Sometimes I wonder she travels only for publicity, maybe just return tickets with nowhere to go… just to be seen at the airport. ” … This has become a common refrain in these pages about Kangana. I’m curious if this is because Alia Bhatt mentioned this?

I totally was thinking same as you.
She is one of those actresses who attends lots of workshops for her roles, prepares extensively and follows the method acting way.
So i am never surprised by her airport sightings. Dont wish to compare but its weird when she is judged for her airport sightings and when it comes to kareena’s monotonous brunch, lunch, dinner outings with her friends are not frowned upon.

Yeah. I think her sightings are not so frequent to warrant doubts. Seems reasonable for a woman who has movies she is working on.

Completely agree on what you say. The catty Alia remark probably triggers this.
I, for one, love the airport sightings on Kangana, she looks so sharp and wears the clothes so well. She compliments the clothes even more than they compliment her :)

She looks really funny ! Polo t-shirt with corporate skirt. Coat in Mubai weather and heels for the airport.

    1. Anoushka at | | Reply

      That’s not a polo t-shirt. It’s a blouse and she looks fab.

She tries too hard with her airport looks. You’re flying not going to the office or an event where you need to dress like this

    1. Anoushka at | | Reply

I also dress up formally when flying internationally because of the racism towards non-white people at airports by the airport officials. If one is dressed well, then they are less likely to pull you aside or give you trouble.

Which airport did u face this problem at?

        1. V at | | Reply

Yeah, which airport was this? I think if you are just yourself, nobody will pull you aside. Trying to be someone else raises a lot of suspicion. Just saying!

          1. Avani at |

Ha ha ha ha ha. Agree. Not sure where this kind of racism is done, been in many airports across US, never faced any or never heard of it. All I hear/also read – how in India the North East folks always get unwanted and racist/colorist remarks made by our own Indian officials in many airports questioning about their patriotism.

she dresses like the way i dress to the office. airport look should be comfortable but corporate look isnt appropriate for the airport.

If you’ve ever been on a plane on a Monday or a Thursday this is as far from the truth as possible

Planes are filled with people in suits

I used to wear them (with heels) cause I went straight to the client meeting from the airport and then back on Thursday from the client
So no to always comfy clothes

And honestly even if not for work it’s refreshing to see people dresses well and not in juicy couture
      Comfort doesn’t mean sloppy
Nothing she’s wearing here looks particularly uncomfortable

At times the nitpicking on this comments board is baffling
She’s actually dressed well so it’s like people looking for ways to criticize

So now a celebrity is being expected to justify her travel plans to readers of a fashion blog. Matlab forum hai toh bhai kuch bhi bol lo!!!

    1. Felicity at | | Reply

Nobody asked her travel plans.. there was a compliment too at the end which nobody bothered to read. Some people like you really give the face of intolerance to our country. I just put forth (very politely at that) what I thought was the reason of her frequent travels. Just because my opinions don’t match yours, they don’t become ‘Kuch bhi’ My only connection to Bollywood is HHC . Also to other readers, I’m totally unaware of what Alia said, as I don’t follow anyone on insta, or twitter . Ok, rant over, no need to corner me for simply putting across my thoughts.

She is a style icon. Love it!

I like that she dresses more formally, even for travel. This is how people used to dress to fly before leggings, athleisure, yoga pants and other slob wear became a part of our lives!
That being said however, I feel her balayage is too harsh. I see that Poonawala also got one and hers is harsh too. A less stark blonde would have looked better on Indian skin.

IKR! I hate this hair color and it looks so bad/looks like trashy straw on the desi skin tone.
