In Kiran Uttam Ghosh
October 30th, 2009 at 12:17 am . by PayalInspired by the drape style of women in East India, who tie their keys to the sari pallu and put it over their shoulder, designer Kiran Uttam Ghosh created this long kurta piece where the lengthened front goes over the shoulder. On the runway, the outfit doesn’t seem so bad although I doubt in real life anyone would pull it off and that is probably why Tisca chose to drape the extra length over her hand. Except, instead of it looking better, it just looked worse. Much worse. A ‘WTHeyyy’ if you ask us.

Its totally fab. The starlet kinda made it awkward with her own interpretation…. I love designer’s creation.
Its great twist to the normal kurti. Oh Imagine it in an Ombre avatar.. it’ll look fabulous.

Exactly my thoughts…we already have a sari if you want that drape over the shoulder…why fuse that look into a kurta or even a dress for that matter?
I wanted to give this one to Tisca based on the second pic but then saw the third one and it looks just plain bad. Ramp version (who I thought was Carol Gracias at first glimpse) looks alright from the front pose but not sure what I would make of it if I saw it from the side like Tisca’s third pic.

the lengthened front of the kurta looks realllly bad and extremely odd..especially in the third pic. i just feel like chopping it lol. I guess innovation is not always a good thing.

On the ramp this looks more like the style of the kurta rather than an extra piece of cloth.
On Tisca this looks plain out of place and silly,
I didnt like the style and the dresses in general are very ordinary.
The outfit makes Tisca look preggy and huge in her second pic!!
tisca looks like she’s about to lift up her kurta. it’s an interesting idea however it doesn’t look elegant at all in real life.
