Wearing a Raw Mango sari, Tisca attended a recent event in Mumbai. With flowers in her hair, the actor finished out the look with polki earrings, a big bindi and Jimmy Choo clutch. Wouldn’t change a thing; she looked lovely!

  1. She looks LOVELY, everything is perfect EXCEPT

But there are a million sarees that look WAY BETTER (at T Nagar Chennai) and those dont have a fancy fashion label on em :))
    Saree is ugly

    • She looks like a million bucks head to toe but I agree it’s a pity that it takes a label for these women to recognize and wear saris of this kind. You’ll find a zillion of these in fabulous combinations anywhere in Kanchi/chennai.

  2. Oh my! How lovely and elegant she looks. Love the jewelry and the flowers in the hair. The sari is not the greatest but does not take away from her beauty.

    • What’s cultural sensibilities? Don’t make me laugh. The print is overwhelming in those colours. There’s no denying that. Every single thing doesn’t have to be inately intertwined with “culture” which is just another word for saying we don’t want to open our minds and embrace new experiences.

    • Yes its the heritage that goes with it, that is why a particular plaid is even named as Madras. There are plenty of plaid combos which are good but this one is really bad i think its the color.

    • What an asinine comment
Just cause something is part of our heritage doesn’t make it work everytime in every combination and fabric
I’ve seen some beautiful saris with madras check patterns – but this one is just not a nice color combo in that fabric
As beautiful as Tisca looks the sari just doesn’t cut it
But to say that speaks to someones cultural sensibilities is ridiculous

    • I am an Iyer so I know my Madras and I know my checks 😛
So ummm ya…. please the saree has nothing “dejyner” about it. Its available all over Tamil Nadu.

Thanks for the cultural heritage lesson BTW 😛

      • With all due respect, Madras checks might not have anything to do with being an Iyer. People of all castes wear it. I don’t mean to preach a sermon here, but as a society, we have to think about not mentioning castes where it is not relevant to aid the process of creating an equal society. This is not a personal accusation that you are treating others unequally, but just a request to think before proclaiming one’s caste in the open.
