Shimmer And Shine

For her appearance at a recent Awards night, Tisca picked sequined pants from ASOS, one which she paired with a silk button-down. With her hair up in a faux-bob, she finished out the look with a strong red lip, Chanel clutch and Kurt Geiger pumps.

Not a fan of those pants. Aside from not being the most flattering, dislike the unsightly visible black lining of its zipper.

  1. Oh! this is a look that could have worked, but it fails because of the pants. I want to like them because of Tisca, but I agree the zipper makes it a lot worse.

  2. I’m digging it. It’s a fun, sporty look and a welcome change to see the lovely lady in something that lengthens her silhouette.

  3. I am finding this look oddly attractive. Those pants by themselves are an eyesore but somehow Tisca is pulling all of it together.

  4. WhT. I LOVE this look! I thought she looked super chic and managed to look perfectly “young but not twee”, that difficult balance so many fail to get right. Loved the hair and the make up and yes, the smile.

    • LOL…see the fun part being you commenting on “$” ( commenter’s name) first and then moving to talk about the content of the post….so this shows the power of almighty dollar….and even otherwise to me “$” makes sense as this is a fashion blog and here we get to see what celebs wear and in any case their looks comes down to two things either “Money talks” or “Money to burn”.At the end of the day Money talks and these celebs do pay top dollars and as a result get featured on these pages…but the sad bit is people do have More money than sense des days …tch tch !!!

P.S. Rant over i hope the penny finally dropped 😛

  9. Agree that the pants are an eyesore not just for the black details but also the shabby hem. But she looks great waist up. Contrast with Kajol’s lace monstrosity and this is a winner!

even though I don’s agree with alti (i simply love the whole look) she/he has a right to have an opinion. and just because you are designer doesnt mean you have a right to shoot down comments that you disagree with

  12. Come on girls- get over Sonam- TISCA nails this look. The hem of the trousers is awful- but apart from that, she looks amazing- and the black zipper is a good addition I say. Edgy, fun, stylish all come together to make this a Vogue-worthy look. The blouse is stunning as her her make up. Love the classic Chanel clutch. Very nice Tisca!!

  13. Chee, this is outright garish, its a terrible mix of gym track pants and shimmer pants.
The visible zipper further deprecates the look

  14. How old fashioned to think that the zipper ruins the pants? In fact the zipper and the black pocket detail brings the wonderfully bling trousers into the present fashion moment. If you guys want an all sequinned trouser and no update, go back to 1930’s Chanel…when these palazzos with sequins were first invented. Tisca, ignore the uniformed comments who must be sitting in an oily plait and kimono, looking fugly as hell, while they pass their stoopid comments.

  15. P&P get glasses. Or change opticians. How can this not be the best for the evening? Stylish, understated and individualistic. And on trend.. channeling the 70s.. Come on girls, we need a breather from over made-up garish women who try and dress too young- Kajol, Madhuri and the like. Or women who constantly flaunt their bodies or labels or both. Read Shilpa, Sonam and the like. Here is someone normal, classy and oh-so-different. I stand back and applaud.

  16. I like those pants…the whole look actually. Maybe the fitting of the pants could have been better. Wish she wasn’t wearing black shoes…a glittery silver sandals would have elongated the bottom.

  17. Somehow, with Tisca its never about the clothes! That body language, that pose, suggest to me that she owns the room.
Its something about her inner-self that makes most clothes work. Including this one!

  18. This look would’ve totally worked had the pants been skinny high-waisted hotpants as opposed to flared. The look would’ve gotten just the right amount of edge, and we’d be able to see the pumps which’ve otherwise been covered by these elongated pants.
