In Amrich

Wearing a tie-die kurta and pants from Amrich, Sonali attended the trailer unveiling of the upcoming movie ‘Poster Boys’. While Sonali looked lovely, I wish she’d worn jewellery that matched the minimalist aesthetic of the separates. A silver hasli-style necklace and black sandals would’ve worked better here.

Of Gowns

Sonali attended the Stardust Awards wearing a metallic draped gown with jewellery from The Diamond Factory and a stone clutch from Rusaru.

By keeping the makeup on the simpler side, Ms. Kulkarni let the gown and accessories shine. She looked good!

Sari Style

It seems someone heard us because at the Maharashtrian Of The Year felicitation, Sonali Kulkarni was seen in a sari but this time looking much better without the heavy makeup. Her sari look felt a lot more effortless.

If we’d change anything, it would be skipping on that necklace. It didn’t really add much to the look. A chunkier necklace would’ve made for a better addition.

Sari Style

At LFW on Thursday, Sonali took in Wendell Rodrick’s show wearing a gorgeous sari. Unfortunately, between that sheer sleeved blouse and the heavy make-up, the overall look felt a bit loud.

I have been following Ms. Kulkarni a while now and have noticed she wear a lot of pretty saris but each and every time, her makeup lets her down. Here’s hoping she keeps it more simple the next time and gives us a look that feels more natural and not too dolled-up.

Sari Style

Of the saris that we saw at this event, we loved Manisha’s Chanderi. But, it’s only the sari that we did like. If she had worn it better, the look would’ve been a love. But then, this is one of the better appearances that we’ve seen her in, of late.
