The last time we spotted her, it should have been an indication of things to come! With Simone its all about the ‘phases’, and looks like the ‘legging-phase’ just got re-started!
The dress itself isn’t all bad but those shoes and that bag…??!! Just doesn’t work.

Also in Kenzo, at the store launch was Simone Singh. The dress is right up her alley, easy, slouchy and bohemian, as well as right on the trend as far Spring 08 went but somehow, the dress still doesn’t work on Simone. Maybe because it just doesn’t fall right! (Digging the ‘glads’ though…)

Some of you had wondered about the red bag carried by Simone at the ‘99′ bash. The bag in question was a Louis Vuitton ‘Op Ed Verty’ from a collection that came out a few years ago.

At the Wine Portfolio Tour hosted by Moet Hennessy, we spotted Simone Singh with the multi-pocket Marc Jacobs handbag and Maheka Mirpuri with the Yves Saint Laurent Mail clutch.
At $395, the mail clutch is a great buy but the Marc Jacobs at $895 is quite a waste of money in my opinion. But, to each their own.

I had to admit I was surprised to see the Gucci Tippy clutch back to back on two ladies so quickly and then it all made sense! The clutch is on sale! ;)
Now, it was gone from Neimans but is back again with an additional 40% off which comes down to about $300 bucks(from $750) and that is not a bad deal at all…

A jumpsuit with flares as big as the one on Simone’s red number can be very hard to pull off especially if you are not stick thin. But, I loved the bold red on Simone and the way she accessorized with the belt, the chunky bangles and the Gucci clutch. Quite an upgrade from the mish-mash she was spotted in a while ago…
The jumpsuit reminded me so much of the one seen in the Spring 2008 collection of Giambattista Valli but it isn’t the same.

The silhouette makes me think Simone is in Drashta Sarvaiya, its pretty identical barring the print itself. I actually prefer the smaller print far more than the bigger abstract print that Simone has on.
On her frame, I think the big print overwhelms her and instead would have loved to see the smaller print version on her!
People are often wary of prints but there really is no reason to be. If the print is busy, keep everything else easy and minimal and print free. If you are of bigger built, then choose prints that have a vertical flow rather than horizontal. There is no reason to stray from bigger prints, however, if you are petite in stature then avoid bigger prints (like in the case of Simone) as they can overwhelm. If print shy, start with clothes that have no more than two colors.
Its summer, embrace the print! In any case, confidence goes with chic, so wear your clothes well! :)
