In Elie Saab Couture

Day two festivities saw Alia in an Elie Saab gown from the 2023 Spring Couture collection. This collection had many looks that were sari-inspired so maybe it was a concious move by Rhea to not put Alia in one. I, however, wish that she had picked them. They looked exquisite. This particular gown though looked great on the runway with its sheer lining. With one, it wasn’t translating well. I also don’t like that choker.

In Threes

White and black was the color-combination these ladies went with at the Netflix event but amongst the three, only Shefali caught my eye. Rhea’s outfit could’ve benefitted from a sleek clean ponytail but it’s just something we never see her do. I wonder why. As for Huma, that matador-esque shoulder design was just too jarring and too silly to like.

In Ekaya

Wearing an Ekaya sari with a lace-up blouse, Bhumi attended the Filmfare OTT Awards on Wednesday evening. As much as I love Ekaya, was neither feeling the motif on this sari nor that blouse. Not to mention, I have some fatigue over seeing Ms. Pednekar and her non-stop crop top appearances.

In Dhruv Kapoor

At Karan JOhar’s party, Rhea was seen wearing a croc print blazer by Dhruv kapoor with black pants and a high- neck top. Between the hair worn down, that top and the oversized blazer, her outfit just felt so stuffy. Didn’t like it one bit.

In Rami Kadi

Wearing a Rami Kadi gown, Bhumi attended the Filmfare Middle East Achievers Night on Saturday evening in Dubai. The gown with its awkward slit up to the bum was already not a favorite but then you see those feathery mesh gloves and all love was lost from me. Can’t say I liked. Did you?

On an aside, I wonder if Ms. Pednekar has had any say in what she is wearing or is blindly accepting whatever her current stylist (Rhea Kapoor) is putting her in. I, for one, would like to see Bhumi looks to be more individualistic than mirror the Kardashian/Jenner aesthetic.
