In Twos

Ms. Pinto made the TV rounds promoting Trishna. The Today show saw her in a yellow Rachel Roy dress paired with a black blazer. A quick change into a Tory Burch printed dress and she was ready for her appearance on Access Hollywood.

Both looks saw her finish it off with a Roger Vivier sling bag, suede flats and Tory Burch sunglasses. Which look do you prefer?

In Rachel Roy

It seems like Ms. Pinto’s stylist took the day off. How else do you explain picking a dress that barely looked good (on her) and then pairing it with stark black pumps and finishing off with limp hair.

In contrast, Rachel herself looked so fab.

Dinner In Delhi: Part Deux

The President and First Lady (or POTUS/FLOTUS to some) have left the country and while there was no sighting of Michelle in a sari (even though the anticipation was huge), we did have a sari sighting from Sally Roemer (wife of the U.S. Ambassador to India) at the State Dinner hosted by President Pratibha Patil. Needless to say, the handwoven saris on the President and Sonia Gandhi were much more elegant.

Michelle herself wore a floor length skirt and blouse by Indian-American designer Rachel Roy.

Packing A Punch?

… Not quite! After giving us gorgeous editorials, Lakshmi surely disappointed at the 2009 Costume Institute Gala. She was dressed up by designer Rachel Roy for the exhibition in a pink strapless number which she wore with Manolo Blahnik for Rachel Roy booties and Mont Blanc jewellery. Although the back of Lakshmi’s dress had more detail, it still didn’t quite make up for the disappointing first impression.

Considering the theme of this year’s exhibition was ‘The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion’, we are surprised Ms. Roy couldn’t be inspired more by this lovely muse. Or was it she kept the best for herself?

You can check out more of the exhibition and breakdown of who wore what here.
