It hasn’t just been sheaths and separates for Malaika while taping her television show. Wearing a draped James Ferreira for one episode and a beaded Nachiket Barve for another, Malaika sure mixed it up.

Of the two, the Barve has our vote. The soft, rather ethereal gown was a welcome change of pace and more importantly, Malaika looked lovely in it!

During the course of filming her television show, Malaika has been photographed in a whole slew of looks, looks that have been different from each other but ones that undeniably play up to Ms. Khan’s strengths. Malaika filmed an episode of her television show wearing a slinky, shimmery Namrata Joshipura sequined dress. Voluminous wavy hair, rich bordeaux lip and a cocktail ring finished out her look.

She owns the dress; Malaika looked great! (Why no mention of the shoes you ask? Because they were a downer and we’d rather pretend we don’t see even the little we do of them.)

For her appearance at a recent event, Malaika picked a Rahul Mishra dress. Wearing her hair swept to the side, she finished out the look with diamond jewelry and nude pumps. Ms. Khan looked lovely! Having said that, I do wish she had picked subtler pair of earrings (maybe a nice pair of floral studs) and worn her hair back so as to not crowd the neckline.

It was Varun Bahl for Malaika while at a promotional event for her movie. A fishtail braid, statement earrings, coral lip and nude Louboutins finished out her look. While the whole turnaround with her sartorial choices has kept us immensely interested, I can’t help but think this look was perhaps a bit too out of the left field for her. It isn’t bad by any means, but it doesn’t very much read Malaika either. That said, the images where she had her jacket casually draped on the shoulders seemed more impactful than anything else. The hard-soft, now that works well on her!
