Messy Messy Print

May 14th, 2008 at 12:55 am . by Priyanka

We have seen a lot cringe-worthy ‘animal-print’ clothes on celebs, and after seeing Divya Dutta at the Society Interior Awards, we reached our saturation point and hoped that’d be it for a while…

But guess what we spotted Ayesha Takia in, right before the De Talli music launch?? You know it.

We have seen it once, twice and thrice but Gauri Khan’s obsession with all things ‘animal-print’ just doesn’t seem to end! What a tacky, tacky shirt and whats with Bollywood taking the whole ‘innerwear is outwear’ diktat out of context? Did I miss a memo?

Too Much Print?

The Good: Kareena’s flower print kurta has a darker print which could be bad, but, the deep V embellished neckline and the lining on the edge of the kurta, both done up in bright colors make the kurta pop.

The Bad: Deepika’a dress seems to have been inspired by the jungle. I think I spot a leopard, a zebra and even a giraffe on that dress.

The Ugly: One look at Hrishita’s dress and you know for sure this movie has no budget for clothes. Her dress seems to have been cut out of old curtains and not adding to the cause is the layered grandma lace!

That would be Ms Xenia Ali who decided to wear animal print from head to toe! If you are wondering who she is as we were..don’t bother researching… it ain’t worth your time! We just wanted to profile her as an example of how you can go way wrong with animal prints.

The same shoes and belt on a black sheath dress would have been classic but Ms Ali’s choice of clothes just totally killed the look.
