Sari is so mummy like and inappropriate for a wedding reception !! reminds me of 80’s era when leading ladies wore these gold weave checkered sari’s and there is nothing designer in it….the second look is still better…looking nice

What does mummy like mean? What’s wrong in being a mummy? Can we just stop converting female names into degrading terms already?
Mummylike, behenji, aunty ! There’s nothing wrong in being a mummy, behen or aunty!
      I’m guessing you meant outdated??

Waaoo.. KS you sound so like a teenager who just stepped into the 20s and who considers all other older women and girls who dress up in a particular kind of clothing as falling into the category of either auntyji, behenji, aur mummy. Well, I would like to know what is the problem in being any of the above.

I am a mommy & that sari is not like me >_<

Even I don’t like the saree. The point I am making is why resort to name calling such as auntyji, behenji and the likes. This is juvenile thinking.

I get what you are saying but mummies have better collection of sarees. The drool worthy silks and cotton sarees. I wish I could be as elegant as my mom when I am wearing sarees. I personally like mummy like sarees more than the bling fest of Bollywood brigade. :)

@KS – Bandage dresses are so mummy like. Never heard of a mummy in a sari

The draped dress looks lovely on her. But her makeup is getting worse by the day.

    Dress for sure!

Second ensemble is no more than a fancy bathrobe but she still looks lovely (from face). I really love look 1. That saree is nothing special and on anybody else, it would have washed the person out; however, she manages to look pretty in it. Such a beautiful face! One of those rare actresses with perfect eye-brows; other either have it too thin or they have it too harsh and too light.

hate the 1st saree. Ill fitting blouse and she’s unable to carry it. her hands don’t know where to go. I’m liking the 2nd look but wish the inner garment was a better one.

Tabu has a strong personality, a tall amazonian figure, she should definitely try some striking, dominating looks … architectural gowns and such. Playing around with her hair every now and then wouldn’t hurt either. As of now, prefer her Comedy Nights appearance over the sari.

Neither. Such a pretty face and such poor clothes, pity!

The sari would have looked better if the pallu was not pinned up also the crooked right hand with pallu on top doesnt look nice… the second look is far better… i think she has amazing potential that is just not coming out.

Gahh the saree is so ugly!
The fabric looks like cheap material, those square-sequin design on it is tacky and the blouse is just the final stamp in this ugliness.
I love it when Tabu dons traditional sarees and that’s true for everyone really: the kind of sarees our moms and aunts have in their closet is so much better that this ugliness that is designer saree/

Malini Ramini is an extremely over rated designer.

Well I think I am in the minority here but I don’t like that knotty nighty kinda gown. I like her in the saree look more although the saree itself is not so special. There are two major problems with the saree the colour which is so bland and washes her out and the squarish sequins placement over it. Neck up pretty neck down let’s forget..

    The saree is pretty ugly.

The saree, though lovely, is just not draped properly. See pic #1..the first tuck of the saree is too far to the left (traditionally hidden by time you’ve tucked in the pleats) and it shows…sloppy. Second look…I like.

Hideous sari. Not a fan of the 2nd look either but it is better than the 1st one.
