On The Sets

While filming for her television show, Swara was photographed in two different Rinku Sobti looks. Both times, she paired the outfits with statement jewelry. Now, between the lehenga and sari, which look did you prefer her in?

  1. While the lehenga in the first look is very pretty, but that top makes her look ‘ample’ up there. I love the saree look; Fusion done right. While a lot of people have played around with a saree (Mini Mathur’s ripped jeans one was the most unimpressive), this looks really good! Love those colours. So yea, I prefer her in the saree look. 🙂

    • Agree 100%. The blouse is much too tight & looks very uncomfortable & even the shrug is not sitting right. The saree look is quite nice.

      • Yup shrug doesn’t sit well either because of the tight top. But I’m actually surprised that I actually liked a black lehenga. Dunno why, I don’t like black much in desi clothing. 😀 (saree, lehenga and long skirts especially). And oh! Swara is a lovely actress! 🙂

  2. Lehenga look looks too made up! Stuffed top, jacket, neck piece the tight bun… no. Saree on the other hand is cheery! The earrings and hairstyle is looking good with it too. 🙂

  3. Both look simply awful. The lehenga looks like it shrunk in the washing machine. As for the saree, all those clashing colors look tacky.
Really, nothing that a full-length mirror won’t cure.

  4. She looks so fun and is enjoying what she sports which is the biggest plus
LOVE both looks and they looks so unique to her!.

  5. I like her in the saree look. I am going for the whole platter of colours used and that jewellery. She looks pretty over there. While the lehnga look is atrocious just because of that extremely strangulating choli.

  6. The first one, the top looks like it was bought when she was in a different body type. lol. Nothing is working. The second sari fusion would have look good on someone else with some pizzazz definitely not something which Ms.Baskar possess. And throwing in all those accessories at one go in a look is only adding to the woes.

  7. Can’t say I like either of them. I really don’t like shrug peplum top in the first look. A simple cherry color crop top/blouse would’ve looked so much better. It would’ve made the skirt and necklace stand out. The second saree look is comparable better but still feels a little forced… if worn properly does a saree really need more covering up? I think this look would’ve been great if the same kurta was a full sleeve blouse.

  8. I like the saree look, well put together and the colors and patterns work well. Not digging the lehenga look, makes her look plump and short.

  9. i feel too much happening in saree look, it looks like saree plus salwar- kameez in one look.
the print combination is also not giving chic look,..although only good thing in look is her hairdo…
in lehanga look,..the top part is all done wrong,..no no no,..takeout jacket,..have well fit choli,..it will be so nice,..neckpiece is very good selection.
