Day And Night

Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did. Ms. Sen who almost always is seen in denims with a big buckle belt ditched them for high-waisted pants and a white shirt and if she just hadn’t put on that weird contraption passing off for a necklace, we would have had such a good look.

She did fare better in the Stella dress at Kitsch Fashion show but it wasn’t a look fabulous enough to make us forget the ‘WTHeyyy’ look from the day event. If we could get a sound byte from her, I’d love to know what made her pair that piece with the pants look.

  1. I love sush, but these two outfits were both a BIG disappointment. she would have looked better if she had worn the pants with a simple white shirt. I do not care for the pants, but she wears them well.

  2. OMG I think tall people must NEVER wear High waisted trousers… Doesnt she remind you of those clowns at the circus that walk oin stilts!!! Ewww! And dont like the other look too!! Dunno what is off about it but its not working!! I think maybe its the skirt.. i think older women MUST stick to pencil silhouettes!!

    • if tall people can’t wear high-wasiters, who can? short people would be totally overwhelmed by these trousers. the problem isn’t with the outfit per se, but the accessories. i think flat-front trousers may have also worked better than these pleated ones.
as for the other pic, the ruffles are too cutesy for sush.

    • exactly my feelings.. she really looks like she’s some 8ft tall in these high waisted flared pants..
i guess the prob is not with the high waist the problem is with the length (the pants cover heels also) and the flare of the pants.

    • Only tall women should wear high waisted pants; short women look disproportionate in them. The problem here is that the pants are covering her(well the shoes’) heels!

  4. Remove that horrendous suspenders thing and she looks AMAZING! Her legs just seem to go on and on and on and on and on. swwwwwwwoooooon.
She should have chosen another colour but black- makes the interesting silhouette look boring.

    • Sushmita was looking really stunning even with that “suspenders thing” on her shirt but, it would have been better if she wore normal clip suspenders

  5. that day look is just the pits. that collar looks so stifling and the tentacles emanating from it look menacing. sush is lucky she has such an endearing and warm personality as we still like her after all these fashion debacles. i wish she would hire a stylist.

  6. the first outfit looks completely weather in-appropriate… n the second one is a lanvin? doesn’t it look a lot like a plain black version of the printed stella mccartney that natasha poonawalla recently wore n was also seen on the kitsch runway?
n going back to sushmita… i can’t remember any recent appearance of hers that did justice to her looks n her body… i think she needs a new stylist… desperately.

  7. she has such a statuesque body… why does she insist on ruining it with such terrible fashion disasters?! she needs to fire her stylist PRONTO!

  8. What’s that neck contraption??? Why was the made in the first place and why does she possess it? The upper half of the Lanvin dress reminds me of Gehry’s works in a not so good way.

  9. Uhh no – the black stuff around her neck. I feel strangled. It’s very unpleasant to look at. Something else is not right…is it the belt? Should it have been thicker perhaps? As for the outfit on the right, the frill is too overwhelming for my taste to wear it outside. But Sush is Sush – love her confidence and that regalness regardless.

She looks really nice in the stella mccartney dress. And i dig the crazy ensemble on the left too…i mean why not! Why always be safe with your choices? You are meant to have fun with fashion!

  12. I couldn’t help myself if I was there, I”d tell her “Sush, always such a joker! That was hysterical! Now stop kidding around and take that crinoline off your top.” Maybe it could be balanced out with an equally voluminous skirt.
Looks like a bunch of garter belts were the neck accessory of choice in the first look.

  13. And I know fashion keeps recycling itself, but I don’t think those palazzo pants need to be taken out of the wardrobe just yet. I hope they don’t in a long time.
