Sari Style

Never mind how we feel about the saris in question but those blouses ruined whatever both these beautiful ladies had going for them. Not a fan. Not of the sheer blouse on Sush and definitely not of the gold one that Bipasha paired with her Falguni and Shane. The cut just didn’t work for her (Bipasha).

  1. I agree with you but somehow Sush manages to carry her look much better than Bipasha. I really am not a big fan of net sarees and that combined with the shiny blouse really does not work.

  2. Oh my god…sush looks smashing!! I j’adore her sari…major points for not wearing it too low, single boob display etc etc… And I think I get why she’s done the long blouse…to balance out her long limbs, me thinks!! She looks fantastic…

  3. I think Sushmita looks great…its kind of east-west fusion…and i am loving it…specially those sleeves, they fit her like second skin…
Nothing exciting about Bipasha’s looks..we’ve seen her like this many times..
Bipasha and Sophie’s(and many others included) make me want to vent out here…
My sister is getting married in april. Everywhere we go shopping, Jaipur-Calcutta-Bombay, its net net and net…bacha khucha is brocade and velvet…people have got to understand that not everyone is blessed(or worked out) with Bipasha’s or deepika’s abs. We want some rich looking and forgiving fabrics. Lesser mortals cant afford Sabyasachi for all her trousseau. How can one keep it young, stylish and yet not filmy…

    • you’d probably have to just buy some borders and get them sown on banaras sari material …. it can be done but you would need a lot of time and effort to get it to look just the way u want!

some designers will get it done for u but they will definitely over charge …. its more like you are paying them so u don’t have to go to the stores and hand pick things yourself…

i recently did both… bought borders abd materials for one and bought one as well! i thought i would save a lot of money doing it myself … and i did! but it took a lot of my time … that sari is perfect in my eyes cuz i designed it ….. but to most people it didn’t look any better than the one we bought!
      anyways it can be fun!

      • Thanks sp…well that would work if you have to buy 2-3 sarees….but jab 20-30 sari khareedni ho to…and you want variety…embroidery, sequins, chiffons, crepes, jardozi, brocade, traditional weaves, bandhej…you want to include everything…All we see is net which is very difficult to carry

  5. I am just happy that there is no boob show going on with these ladies. I know plenty of people don’t care about the saree drape but at least both Sush and Bipasha are wearing their sarees well. I just wish Sushmita had worn shorter sleeves, pulled her hair back and maybe added some color by way of a bindi or some jewelry. As for Bipasha, I like her neck down (shiny blouse and all). I just don’t like how she seems to be turning in to a completely different person because of the flat hair and mysteriously whiter skin. Where is that dusky Bengali beauty?

  6. You’re right – normally I’d love unique/different blouses, but something about these doesn’t sit right. The sheer sleeves on Sush look like an exercise outfit.
