I have always liked Sridevi ji but I always felt that whenever she wears saree, she always over-does it! BUT, she looks so elegant here!! That blouse is exquisite. Don’t like the saree much but Sri does look like a goddess! And hey, in second pic, last row – Are her heels came packaged with the saree?? Hehe. They seem so matchey. Especially the base of the heels is same as the saree border.

Thanks for pointing that out. Yeah it seems that extra sari material was used in them. Who says stars are not economical :-).

Wow! Had to go through the pictures again post reading your comment hehe.

I really liked the heels – Guess must cost a bomb though!

        :D Star are economical.. true!

Heels totally go with the saree but a bit too matche-y!

I don’t like the make up here and the white colour seems to wash her out. Generally she carries saris very well.

Sri is super amazing but the blouse reminds me of a gown on Malaika for her dance show by some other label

Overdressed much for a birthday party…ignoring that Sridevi looks stunning…no one can carry sarees like Sri.

Wow she looks so elegant, even in top to toe sequins! Not an easy feat:) that blouse has a cool armour look about it, and the shoes are perfect. She did right not to add jewellery and slick the hair back.

I hate that blouse with a vengeance! Should have paired with a plain black one. She even matched her heels lol.

Like the blouse but hate that saree. Heels is OTT. Wish she had done a simple cream or gold chiffon saree and let the blouse take all the attention… oh, well to each her own.

That blouse is amazing. I wish the pallu part also had sparse sequins like the rest of the saree because with the blouse it looks a bit much. But there’s no denying that she looks great. She mages to shine even in the trickiest of sarees. Love it. And yes I love her shoes as well.

Interesting, custom heels to match the saree border. I think soon the trend will start where along with blouse people will give their sandals also to match with the saree.

Like the blouse and the saree, but separately. Together they make a really eye-hurtingly gaudy OTT combo.

Goddess. No one can beat Sridevi ji in a Sari. All that sequence and matching heels, she makes it all work. <3

Ughhhh. She seriously needs to learn how to wear a saree from Karisma Kapoor. What is this gaudy eyesore!

Excuse me? Sridevi is very well known to be the best dressed woman in sarees. Sridevi, Jayaprada, Tabu and Hemamalini are very few women in Indian movie industry who can carry a saree really well. Karishma on the other hand is never heard of being an example for saree wear. Sridevi is known to make even the plain and hideous sarees work for her while even the best ones fail on others. If any, Karishma and others should learn from Sridevi, period.

Sridevi looks just so elegant. Although I would be hard pressed to believe this was just a birthday party, if I didn’t know already! Bit of an overkill for the event. And sandals sporting the same border as the saree? I’m not quite sure I care much for that!
