Sridevi attended an event in Vizag on Saturday wearing an Anita Dongre printed kurta and a long skirt from the designer’s recent Couture collection. At first glance itself the look felt a bit off and a quick look at the runway version explained why. In wearing the lower neck kurta version with the bustier, part of the swag was lost. Instead of looking at the outfit, the eyes got distracted by the bust.
Love the runway piece. The modified version on Sridevi, not so much. You?

She is top heavy thats why the patch is there. Outfit is pretty but her footwear are hogging all the attention and not in a good way!
The kurta is lovely in its original form.
Along with the bust patch, sridevi’s version has a patch of big green print in the middle which takes away from the simplicity of the runway dress.
It’s a gorgeous outfit but sridevi has made it more garish and in doing so, it has lost its balance and charm
Hate to say it but looks better on the younger model. Somehow I feel these long floaty anarkali styles don’t look right past a certain age and Sri proves it. The heavy jewellery doesn’t help either.
Lol.Agree word by word. But let me tell you, Sri and Madhuri are inspiration for many aunties aging 55+.(Not all though. Some stay classy!)

She looks so huge. The outfit looks so good on the model. Sridevi is so top heavy and she has such gaudy dressing sense that she made it garish as always. Those are the ugliest shoes I have ever seen. Queen of tackiness she is.

She looks good. Dont mind the patch. But the bottom part seems stitched too. The one on model, we can see the kurta & skirt as separates.
She is a legend of a different kind. Dont think anyone else will be attending such celebrations of the heroes from the 70’s & 80’s in all the 4 south Indian states and also bollywood. <3

Good heavens. A beautiful outfit ruined with the really bad fit, that OTT jewelry and those horrendous shoes. And that posing is just ridiculous.
Sridevi and Madhuri can take any trendy outfit and add a chunky blingy neckpiece, blingy earrings and chunky shoes and garish makeup and stiff hair style and make something soft and simple into something OTT, tacky, dated. Madhuri recently did something similar with a shyamal and bhumika outfit. They are so beautiful and still in good shape, they just need better stylists.
Cudn’t agree more. I have always noticed that people here on HHC always find Madhuri’s style tacky/chammak challo but go ga-ga over Sri’s style. IMO, Sri and Madhuri fall under same category when it comes to dressing-up! Both love blingy ott outfits, most of which don’t even suit their age!

OMG, did you just add Madhuri? She’s a local Maharashtrian housewife pushed into glamour world. Till date she hasn’t set a trend. They’re just contemporaries. Sridevi’s Vogue has global acclaim.
if the same styling like on the model was done on sridevi she would have looked great.
but now those earrings, that patch on top don’t look good.
