Every time I brush my teeth with Colgate, am I to be reminded of Sonam Kapoor?

What is with that filmy outfit really!!

Loved the outifits worn by the models !! This is the first
time I have ever liked so many pieces from a MM collection !!!!

But what did they do to Sonam???? She looks bad here.. Bad outfit, forced clevage and if the excessive mid-riff show wasnt tacky enough, they had to stick in that shiny thing in the belly button !! Eeeww !!

SK looks like she just stepped out of a Chandni Bar-esque movie set & on to the stage and couldn’t be bothered to change into an appropriate/current outfit for the fashion show(if you can even call it that).geez..

You know none of the above models above, display their teeth! so much for a toothpaste event!!

This fashion show fixation is getting seriously stupid… Why does a toothpaste brand need clothes?! None of the models are even smiling, if they were hired to showcase the product, bad job. In any case, who is going to buy these ugly clothes- not like they are going to come free with every tube one buys. Or are you going to say, ooh yes, this little thing…It’s from the Colgate Collection, you know. Yikes.

      I couldn’t agree more!

Éclat you brought the words out of my mind. This is like MM overdose already and Sonam looks too tacky, like something out of the Dirty Picture movie.

+1 Colgate doesnt need a fashion show with models that aint smiling to sell their products

    4. kasthuri at | | Reply

      +1 Agreed.

Can imagine Sonam totally rocking many of these outfits other than the one she is wearing… she looks good but its close to tacky!

in love with the 1st, 6th, 7th and the 10th ! totallly totallly lust !!

Haha…is this Project Runway or what?
“For today’s challenge you will use our sponsor brand’s colors to make a totally unimaginative outfit!”

I can’t even begin to count how many things are wrong about this..
Fashion show for a toothpaste launch?
    Same old filmy outfits?
No smiling models, and the tacky cleavage +belly buttn shiny thing (as pointed out by above commentors)
Ombre effects reminding me of bleeding gums…
And again, fashion show for toothpaste launch? Why???

“Ombre effects reminding me of bleeding gums…” lololololz…havnt laughed this hard for a long time…thnks :-)

the bleeding gums comment is really funny. that’s all i can think of now in relation to these outfits.

      Bleeding gums! LOL!

Ombre = bleeding gums – love it! You should have been in their focus group for this event!

I love India, but sometimes I just don’t get India (as exemplified by these product-fashion show line-ups). And for toothpaste, of all things…

      1. Amber at | | Reply

        That’s funny!

This is heights, a fashion show for toothpaste, doesn’t make any sense!

On a side note I think Deepika’s sharara in the new yjhd song is from this collection.

Bollywood/Media/Ad agencies are really funny in India … To put together a fashion show for a toothpaste is quite … Original :D

That being said, Sonam took my breath away. Not talking about the outfit rather plain and MM-esque. But she looks so lovely here :)

ab is fashion show ke costing ke liye colgate ka price badh gaya toh? ;)

  11. Jinni at | | Reply

Colgate is not advertising in a conventional sense, they are collaborating and promoting the brand name here. I don’t know why everyone here is expecting an ear to ear grin from the models and Sonam. And Sonam looks sexy maybe for the very first time. I like this collection.

  12. Ritu at | | Reply

    Lol….bleeding gums:o
If sonam walks the ramp in these pathetic outfits….in no time her style diva image will go down the drain and Its high time MM gets over net and sequins. It’ looks outdated.

  13. Avantika at | | Reply

That’s the worst I’ve seen Sonam Kapoor look EVER! That amateurish-ly attached braid makes matters even worse!

This désigner has to apologise for malingre à joke of this country. And colgate doing a show with MM? Joke after Joke in the fashion industry.

Carol needs to retire……. She must be as old as this brand.

    1. karishma at | | Reply

that’s a rude comment about carol. kate moss and yasmin le bon are still modelling and they are much older than carol. just bcos someone is good at their job and keep getting hired, they have to become a victim of ageism? that doesn’t seem fair.

      1. Lola at | | Reply

She still looks great.. pls just let the woman be!

Haha, the comment on Carol just cracked me up big time. :D

The tummy baring look is very unflattering!! Somehow feels like this picture is taken after lunch time.

Does no one like a little Indian sexiness anymore? Sonam looks hot – her sexy curves, the cleavage – it is not sophisticated of course – it is meant to be Dirty Picture ish hotness! As for Colgate and fashion show…I don’t understand these things so I don’t care.

  19. Adara at | | Reply

Sonam looks just ewww. And they should have known better than to send her in a midriff showing costume.

Crappy designer and his crappy inspiration! Seriously Colgate for inspiration?

Wow, I think everyone has been very harsh. While I am no fan of MM, this collection is without a doubt, better than most of his other recent work I’ve seen. I actually think the restrained palette helped him a great deal. There are definitely typically “Bollywood” pieces, including Sonam’s, but much of the first row very compelling with the use of stripes and white-on-white imagery. Also, the lack of velvet is so refreshing.

It however seems that people are just focusing on the name and brands associated. While I agree that a toothpaste has no reason to market its brand with a fashion show, I at least can apperciate the results of it. I actually like most of this collection and I think it’s far better than velvet-filled nonsense we’ve been seeing from him.

highlights of the show are sonam n MM poor colgate white visible :-(( none is talking abt the brand..i would have rather preferred to wear pajamas.. u dont brush wearing lehenga right?

  23. Datoon at | | Reply

Colgate would have most better spent their money throwing it from a high rise than sponsoring an ombré red white themed fashion show. What a waste. And for once MM’s non sequiny veloury designs have been totally downplayed by the toothpaste association. Very bad brand strategy for both.
Dislike SK’s styling, totally chandani barmaid
