Maximized

The evening event of the Tommy Hilfiger 10th anniversary celebrations saw Sonam in a silk halter maxi. Wearing her hair down this time middle-parted she added a bit of contrast to the look via blue eye-shadow.

Waist up she looked good, but I find the maxi rather meh. Normally maxis on tall folks can look dramatic but here that element is missing. Just me?

  1. Her hair looks so sleek, soft and shiny! Damn .. could anyone recommend me a good flat iron (please no chi’s or ghd’s). That maxi is so SUPER BORING though .. not a look expected from sonam!

  2. Yes Payal, just you. I think the maxi looks fine. Actually she looks really nice. Only thing i don’t like is the eye makeup – Namrata you can do better! The eyeshadow looks amateur.

  3. I actually really like this look. Simplicity can be really elegant and that is what works for me here. The style of the maxi and the rest of the styling such as the hair work well together. This is a great example of sometimes less is more!

  4. she looks elegant…and Iove her sleek hair here. Just a nitpick, I wish she had parted differently.

Btw, how do film stars get such gorgeous hair and so many different styles? Do they do keratin treatment or something? I wonder why they don’t look bad night after night of lotsa styling…

  5. I love the hair. How shiny & sleek is it? <3 .The maxi looks more like a night wear because of the material used and the silhouette. But this look is nice & simple than her OTT wears.

  6. It’s a shapeless maxi to begin with and on Sonam’s figure, it doesn’t work very well.
Props to her for trying something different. And her hair looks great!

  7. Loving this flowy, comfy look! The color, simplicity of design, sleek fabric and hair are all a refreshing change. I might have cinched the maxi at the waist to give it some definition. Sonam Kapoor can do no wrong, in my book.

  8. All i want to say is that I have grown to love the zoom feature. Its perfect to see the make up and accessories. (I still miss the black background though).

  9. With you on this one Payal! It’s is a hands-down ‘Meh’!
Sonam can’t make simple looks work…maybe coz she always gives these super-fab dressy looks. It’s probably a ‘relative’ thing.
