Sonam, who arrived in Cannes on Saturday, has been busy promoting L’Oréal and giving us many outfits while at it. She arrived wearing an Anamika Khanna jacket and draped skirt and quickly changed into another Anamika at the hotel.

Sunday saw her in an Urvashi Kaur kurta and skirt while she got ready for her interviews, where she finally sported a metallic structured Rimzim Dadusari with Suhani Pittie earrings.

Have a favorite look so far? While I like all her looks, have to admit, am loving the sari pick. Very unconventional and a great way to showcase a traditional piece that was interpreted in a modern way.

  3. Wow! That saree is such a great pick with it’s innovative pallu giving it a modern edge and also the blue colour which is perfect for a day time event at Cannes. I love how she’s wearing desi designers so far and can’t wait to see her red carpet picks. Say what you will about Sonam, she puts time and energy into her outfits and is doing a good job of wearing different styles.

  4. Wow Sonam looks stunning in the sari. It is so unconventional and dramatic. She looks like those famous supermodels India ever had like Meher Jessia and Madhu Sapre kind of who had their own identity apart from the regular Bollywood glamour. She looks good in the Urvashi Kaur dress too.

  5. It shows when you are really just having fun with your clothes..without trying hard to make a statement! And like they say, smile is the best accessory 🙂

  6. I generally don’t like people messing about with the sari, but have to say, this one looks really good. Very innovative, and perfect for the event. Great pick!

  7. With the exception of the printed Anamika Khanna I like all of the outfits. The saree is my absolute favorite. It’s really creative and modern and she wears it welll. Love the simple and different hairstyles and accessories. There’s a lot of thought put into her styling…kudos! Looking forward to the red carpet.

  8. The sari is good, fusion done right. She carries it off so well. I love the last Anamika Khanna one surprisingly because usually not a fan of such draped looks. It looks gorgeous but of course the trailing long jacket and the drape skirt is OTT (besides the hygiene factor of all the dirt) for the airport but then this is Sonam Kapoor, she likes it that way. 😛

  9. She luks so cute in Urvashi Kaur dress bt dress in itself is beyond my understanding! Luk more of sum worn out, rough n crumbled clothes taken out frm old box. Saree luk is nice bt cn sumone throw a light on material of d pallu..its seems stiff n luks like a stroke of paint brush.

  10. That printed Anamika Khanna is my least favourite. But boy how good does she look in that sculptured saree! No over the top makeup, great jewellery and that affable smile to go with all those looks-absolutely a winner this time! Perfecto!

    • Yes that is my least fav too, kind of weird the silhouette is . But I like the airport one for some reason, though carrying off (me) that draped skirt is quite questionable. 😛

      • Sonam makes sure she stands out. While us mere mortals would opt for a simple jeans tee or a skirt to board a flight she is out there doing a draped dhoti style with a train kinda thing trailing behind her. OTT at times but quite likeable.

        • Yeah thats what Sonam is all about I guess. As for me, no denims-jeans mostly a dress, skirt or cotton shorts with tee. Cant handle pants inside the tiny restroom (though I try not to use it unless on its on International) . 😀 Business class ones are still quite alright. These celebs go first class , so that shouldn’t be of concern for them.

  11. As usual she looks amazing. Always brings something fresh and innovative to her red carpet looks, no one does it quite like sonam.
Can’t wait to see what she wears next.

  12. Like the saree look a lot. That is a refreshing colour combination. She looks great in other 2 as well but then they are forgettable looks. Only the saree look stands out and seems memorable to me! <3

  13. She looks good in all especially that sari. The Urvashi Kaur look not at all. Very poor farm hand sort of dressing…Sorry

  14. Love the Urvashi Kaur and Anamika from the airport. The saree should work in theory, but doesn’t. The pallu looks like a metallic chatai, along with the blouse. And the bottom half of the fabric looks like lycra or something. The close-to-the-body fall of the lower half with the structural top half really throws the proportions off. Not to mention that the lycra like fabric looks cheap. Also the draping is off. A similarly structural bottom half would have looked fabulous, despite the mettalic chatai top.

  15. She looks really at ease in all the outfits, which takes even simple looks up several notches !
Her makeup is also good here.
Love the sari the best though!!Wanna try it on so bad !

  16. the first Anamika Khanna outfit (even though we’ve seen versions of it on her and others before) is outstanding! i’m talking about the one where she’s carrying the birkin.

  17. Love love love the saree pick! The earrings and midi rings she paired it with are to die for (showcases better on other sites). Also love the draped airport confection, though i consider the jewelry unnecessary.
