In Rahul Mishra Couture

Sonam sported two Rahul Mishra couture looks and while we’d like to say we loved both looks, it wasn’t quite the case. We only loved one.

Her first look was a long kurta sari look for her visit to the sets of Comedy Nights. Letting the outfit take center stage she kept her hair relatively simple and finished out the look with Anmol Jewellery. This look, we quite loved.

At the launch of a store in Mumbai, she donned another sari look by the designer but this one featured a cape. While the look looked crisp on the runway, on her it looked a bit messy. It would’ve served her better to ditch the cape in this case. An updo also would’ve made the look feel more regal.

Which of the two looks do you like more? Or is it both?

  1. When I read kurta-sari I though “oh no” because it shouldn’t work. Odd combo. But work it does! And sonam looks beautiful in it

The white outfit (whatever it is cause sari it ain’t) is atrocious. Even on the runway. So hard to blame her.

  2. I love the first Kurta sari ..I would have liked diamond earrings and atleast a diamond ring and bracelet with it…Soft loose bun also to g with the first look..
I dont like the second outfit..Its hair and makeup are fine.

  3. The first look is actually truly horrendous- it gives her no definition and makes her hips look way too wide.

The second one is actually preferable.

Ideally both should be in the garbage.

    • It is beyond ridic! she looks like an hostess in the first or a ‘doctor aunty’ in old movies; next one is a mosquito net. In god’s name i donot understand the hype as Sewa lucknow makes better clothes than this ‘couture’

  4. Out of all her promotions, I have only loved her Gaurang outfit so far. It’s simple, classy and looks really pretty as well. I just hope she would dress more like that at least for prdp. Her character Maithili is rooted and Indian. I would love to see her ‘dress in character’ that would be something to look forward to ?

  5. The first look is a complete mess, and I just can’t figure out where it begins and how you even wear this – pull it over your head? Drape it like a saree? Whatever.

The second look is an atrocity – perfect for a comedy night.

  6. While the all white saree?! Look completely looks horrendous both on the runway and on Sonam, the second look comparatively looks better on the runway.
Maybe coz it is not draped too tight like a robe like sonam did, plus it showcases the saree.

  7. Both r atrocious!! Wat does she think of whn she chooses a dress..is she just looking for novelty..so she can b called a trendsetter ..or comfort, suitability of occasion or most importantly whether she looks good in it or not !!

  8. Pastel colors look good on Sonam, but the white saree look is awful. The hairstyle just does not suit her, but I doubt any hairstyle would have saved it.

  9. This site is hilarious. Sonam could wear a garbage bag and they would think it is edgy fashion.

These two looks are ugly and over designed. The makeup is terrible.

  10. The white saree is lovely, just ruined by the cape. The kurta look faired better and is not so bad despite the fact that a kurta and saree can be overwhelming. Personally I am irritated that the runway look is copied to the t, instead of taking only a few components .

  11. For someone who has access to best of make up artists why is her makeup so bad almost everytime?
Nothing works in the first look. NOTHING
The second look is copied exactly from the Runaway barring the hair so nthg new.

  12. You have described the second pic first and the second pic later. At first glance I was confused hw can u like the first pic look n dislike the second one; coz I totally agre the Kurta saree is so regal and Cape one is very messy.

  13. The kurta saree is edgy fashion??? Looks like someone wore a saree, realized it was cold outside and added a frock coat to brace the winter winds. And if this was done in blistering burning hot Bombay in October, it had to be done by Sonam.
The white thing looks like a saree draped over a gown.
Makeup is ghastly, accessories scream wedding season, and pose screams ‘I’m trying’!
