In Lanvin

We don’t have full-lengths yet, but here is a first look at Ms. Kapoor looking fantastic in a cream one-shouldered Lanvin at an event in Delhi. Love the earrings!

Sonam was styled by Tanya Ghavri.

  1. When you wear simple dresses you have to pay extra attention to the fit, especially dresses in light colors, because it will be more noticeable.

    Still love it. 😀

    • Perhaps becoz, she manages to look good 99 out of 100 times.. so one time “underarm error” is excusable, considering otherwise the she looks quite fab..And no I am not her fan or anything, I jst like her fashion sense and envy that she is able to dress up well almost always 🙂

  2. Of course you would say she looks good. After all you must have signed a contract with her PR company isnt it? Agree her hair/ make up is fantastic but what about the fit of her dress? I cant believe you overlooked that arm flab straining against her dress.. If it was any other woman you would have butchered her…

Will you EVER take your blinders off? Notice that with ever post, lesser people are commentin on your sonam posts.. Slowly losing your credibilty PnP

    • Naiad,

      Couple of things…

      a. That we don’t take on body weight issues is by now obvious. As for imperfections, we don’t dwell on those either. You’ll never hear us talk about anyone’s minor imperfections… All of which have been brought up plenty in comments. We never have and never will pick on such things. No woman is perfect, neither you, nor us, nor Sonam. If we butcher someone’s sartorial choice, it’s because they have made a very poor choice in outfit selection for their body type. Or if the fit is ridiculously off, which it isn’t here. That’s about it.

      b. Where does the issue of ‘credibility’ come into play when we have repeatedly maintained that fashion is subjective and that this is a blog where we share our unsolicited, humble opinion (and have a comment space for the commenters to share theirs). Considering that we aren’t forecasting trends, proclaiming what is in and what is not or, have claimed that we are the last word in fashion industry, we aren’t worried about ‘credibility’. Every post that goes up on this blog is our opinion. If you still see bias, we are flattered… at least our tastes aren’t ambiguous. The blog works in part because of the fact that we are two regular girls who have a thing for fashion and do this for fun. When it stops being fun, this blog will stop being too.

      c. There’s no denying, we do enjoy Sonam’s appearances coz she keeps it interesting. In case you missed, we also love Priya Kishore, Kalyani Chawla, Twinkle Khanna, Neha Dhupia and lately Deepika Padukone among others. It is what it is.

      d. Considering we’ve never met the people we write about, have relationships with them or run in any common social circles, us being in cahoots with them is one big unfounded conspiracy theory. It’s awesome that you think our blog is relevant enough for P.R companies to signs contracts/deals/agreements with us. We must be doing something right! 🙂

And finally, we’ve never been ones to respond with long-winded comments to baseless accusations but we’ve noticed that lately you’ve had a bone to pick with us and hopefully this clears some things up. We’ve enjoyed reading your comments and hope to see you around the blog!

      • So that must be the reason you haven’t accepted my comment on this blog? Time and time again I have noticed you guys ARE biased towards the Kapoor sisters AND tend to only accept comments that compliment Sonam.

      • Really? You butcher people because they dabbed on a a little extra bronzer, you shot one whole flawless look down because one tiny strand of hair was out of place, you ridicule people who have a tiny sweat stain in an outdoor shoot in the searing heat of Mumbai, you dont like a whole look cos someone had one exta curl in their hair and you say you dont dwell on small stuff ?!?! Following your blog from 2+ years, Sonam has NEVER EVER had a “not quite” or “WTHey” according to your opinion! Wow she must be quite an international style icon then to never have an off-appearance!! The issue here is not what you think of Sonam’s look, the issue is that your standards of judging a look never seem to apply for Sonam, every faux-pas is overlooked! heck you have even overlooked her camel toe appearance once! Im sorry but thats a bit too much sugar coating for me to bear PnP.

        • Err… Unless we’ve lost the plot, the last time we checked, those weren’t body or facial flaws! But you know what… You are welcome to your opinion. Hell, that’s what this space is for. 🙂

  3. Wow, interesting. You guys think that Ujjwala in the black leather mini left nothing to imagination and Sonam’s nude body hugger did???

  4. All I am saying is that please measure Sonam by the same standards you set for everyone else.

Visible bra line is your biggest peeve, yet you overlook it on Sonam
You point an imaginary camel toe on some celebs but you overlook it on Sonam
You point out even a little excess bronzer on someone, concealer issues on another but you overlook every bad make up of Sonam and she has had several horrendous make up days and has concealer issues on almost all her appearances last year.

Just keep the rules fair for everyone.. Then everyone will stop calling you biased.. There is a reason almost 40% of people on Sonam posts point out your bias cos I am sure they see what I do.. Just call a spade a spade is what I am saying..

If anything I have said has offended you, I apologize 🙂

  5. @naiad: never say never. she has had not quites. she didn’t have WTH yes but so didn’t lot of other people. Yes P&P loves Sonam’s fashion and probably likes her too… visible bra line in that appearance of sonam was so not worth mentioning as she looked amazing. the bra line didn’t matter. in some cases that bra line really makes the look awful! it’s not the same all the time! and they have mentioned sonam’s bronzer issues before!

  6. This time around Sonam doesn’t look like she’s playing with the clothes in grandma’s chest. She floored me with this look. Regarding the above discussion, I’ve never gotten the impression that this blog is about criticising people’s bodies, rather, we point out when clothes are ill fitting or complementary to the person’s body.
