At the Lokmat Maharashtra’s Most Stylish event on Tuesday evening, Sonam made an appearance doing desi in a Gaurang dress. While I like her in this avatar, I wish she’d picked one of Gaurang’s pretty patola ikat prints to showcase at the event. Not a big fan of the striped skirt.

Can’t get on board with this monstrosity of an outfit. The skirt looks tacky and ugly. The horizontal stripes make her look shapeless. The huge border on the dupatta is giving me an eye sore. For some bizarre, unexplained reason Sonam is never called out for her bad make-up. The blending around the eyes is so badly done.

Coming back, that is one mighty unimpressive outfit. I don’t like the pairing of silk with linen (looks like linen) kurti. Colours are dull and look from the back just attests how bad this entire look is (Pic 3). I agree that for some bizarre reason, Sonam always gets a leeway despite consistently having a bad makeup especially when Kangana is picked on for the slightest of bad makeup.
Hey, thanks BlueBells for your sweet words. Just got busy with life and work although I would come back as a passive viewer time and again for my fashion fix! Yeah good point, the linen and silk don’t gel well. Coming to her make-up, when she gets it right it’s great but I do find it very patchy most of the times.
Yup, life has its claws on all of us. But keep coming around once in a while.. It is always pleasant to “see” some people around (even though we haven’t literally “seen” each other).. But I am sure you know what I mean. 🙂
I think her makeup and blending look fine. In general I feel sonam has excellent makeup .

Yep, ikat and patola (also a type of ikat) are weaves/fabrics not prints.

The outfit is horrid, everything from the shape to the color combination is terrible and her makeup is back to being horrible, such a shame considering how amazing it was for her last few appearances.
