Bas skirt, bad top, bad accessories. Oily-looking hair on one side only adding to her woes.

I love her shoes! And the shirt and jacket pairing is quite cute actually. She should have opted for a plain black pencil skirt. But it’s not a disastrous look. Make-up and hair isn’t so bad.

I love her shoes too! Looks almost like delicate, filigree-d mehendi on her feet.

Exactly! I wish she’d wear these again soon!

Disappointment! Bad footwear. Waist down is a clear thumbs down.

Her sister and she should just learn from Kangana Ranaut!

That skirt would look better with a black top or bodysuit underneath. There’s too much print and volume. It would overwhelm anyone!

Seems as if her skirt got stuck in her inner wear (if you know what i mean)

I thought of that exact same thing !

She takes the fashionista tag too far.
I feel this should be a wthey look.

this “fashonista” thing is getting out of hand… no sonam my god just no girl, don’t go walking around looking proud of this nonsense.

    1. Tania at | | Reply

+1. She needs to take it easy with that fashionista tag

  9. Neharika at | | Reply

Pathetic is the word ! Why would you do this to yourself ?

Just an all-around strange outfit. The shoes could be killer paired with something else.

Hahaha in the first two pics it looks like she is trying really hard to hide the drapey part of the skirt. Looks like she wasn’t onboard with the stylist this time round.

    she still makes it work!!

It’s like her skirt is stuck in her underwear. This is horrible.

What an hideously tacky outfit! I’m a sonam fan when it comes to her dressing, but sorry even she cannot pull this off! That shiny-shiny skirt is not helping, along with the cheap-polyester-saree print on the top and jacket. Terrible!

    too much going on!

Personally, I love it. It’s a refreshing change from the sheath dresses and uninspired styling that usually grace these pages. Sonam takes risk and isn’t that what fashion is all about?

Reminds me of that one girl in school – who had relatives sending lots of imported clothes from Kuwait, but somehow they were so cheap-looking that they didn’t exactly look flattering.

+1…there was a fabric called China Silk *shudders*

    2. Saya at | | Reply

Hahaha. True that. Adding to that it feels like the drape is stuck in her underwear.

This is awful. End of. Please, please, look to Kangna for inspiration.

Okay, it’s definitely not one of her bests, she has done and can do way better. But that said, she doesn’t look half bad. She can take major risks and come off looking way better than most others would do. You can’t qualify as a true fashionista unless you take risks sometimes. You’ll never know what silhouettes, colors and cuts can actually look great on you if you don’t.

To be honest, I think she looks great. My only major gripe is the style of the skirt, if it had been a regular maxi it might have looked a lot better.

  21. Shreen at | | Reply

Honestly! I love it!!! Her shoes are really bad but the whole look is just awesome!! I want it!

  22. Amodini at | | Reply

Disheveled and messy, with too much going with both the skirt and top(s). Shoes quaint and cute, but do not go with this.

  23. Megha at | | Reply

I cant imagine anything that could make that skirt work
I understand design and creativity but the draping where it is tucked in half way up is ridiculous
i can’t imagine what made her choose that skirt. Experimentation is fine and I appreciate her penchant for that – but this skirt is seriously RIDICULOUS

This outfit is a monstrosity! Like her shoes though.

  25. enne at | | Reply

I think that some really good shoes got lost in this fugly outfit. We need a redo to put those shoes on display….

Sonam is hardly a fashionista. She’s just a clothes horse who wears anything “new” so she can look as different as possible. Even this has become predictable and expected now.

Most of the time she resembles a 70 year old socialite from the Upper East Side. She could be wearing such fun, young clothes and enjoying her youth but apparently prefers looking like a kooky matriarch.

  27. Chaitali Shah at | | Reply

No wonder, the styling is just perfect, except I find some problem with the skirt, which is not Sonam’s fault anyway. The plating on the skirt is a ‘wee’ odd :D

she is giving richa chadda vibes to me in fourth pic!
