In Dolce & Gabbana

Sonam attended director Karan Johar’s party dressed to the nines in a Spring 2014 Dolce & Gabbana look. Even thought the outfit might seem excessive for a private do, it’s a look she wears well.

  1. Sonam being as leggy as the model she does wear this look well. I love the skirt and I want to love the overall look, but something about the top doesn’t work for me.

  2. This is not only excessive, it is actually clownish on Sonam. Looks like she is dressed in character for her overtly styled upcoming movie.

  3. I love the entire collection this item comes from but on her it just looks really plain, it just doesn’t have the italian/baroque/family touch the collection actually has. And just copying a whole outfit from the runaway is a proof of lack of imagination…

  4. She wears well? She looks hideous…that skirt should have been a maxi and the weird print clash which subconsciously promotes her movie look is “plain” weird…Dowdy is my favorite word today and goes to describe her look too….sigh

    • I get that she is a “favorite” but when such looks are praised – seriously!? Most of the times the clothes wear her and here too looks so ill fitting, dowdy and frankly clownish.

  5. Is it just me or has she just cut and pasted the runway look (hair, earrings, shirt and skirt). Usually expect more from this little Miss “get-a-stylist”

  6. I would have appreciated if the styling was different..an almost complete rip-off of the model’s presentation is not very creditworthy.

  7. You guys are plain biased 🙁 How can you like every look of Sonam while ripping apart everyone else’s looks? Common…looks like she doesn’t know how to be stylish…she just wants to make a statement every time! Isn’t that being wannabe-ish?

  8. Can’t believe how these stars just totally copy the runway looks head to toe? Even with the earrings, it’s too much. Why couldn’t she have addded her own touch? Obviously because she isn’t as stylish as she would like to be seen as.

  9. I like the look. It’s a complete rip off but sonam does look good. I don’t think she is overdressed . If I were here I would style that top with a red pencil skirt or a black skirt and red pumps. That would give it a casual vibe as well.

  10. Sonam, half the time gets her make up wrong, unlike a Kangana or Chitrangada for example. She often goes ashy, I guess its the “whitening” gone wrong. She needs to embrace her wheatish complexion and work with it.

  11. My Eunice aunty goes shopping in such ludicrous printed skirts while shopping vegetables at her market in Goa. Maybe Sonam should join her next time. Outright bad skirt D& G or whatever!!!

  12. I really like the skirt and Sonam wears it well. I love the fact that stars like Sonam experiment and bring certain looks and trends to the Indian fashion scene. Going by the number of comments on how this midi skirt has ‘fit’ issues, I feel like a lot of readers on this blog just don’t get high fashion.
Also, foundations containing sunscreen often give a greyish-white cast when clicked with flashlights. It’s not always a case of deliberately ‘whitening’ the complexion.

      • Who cares if she copied the look?!? It is a welcome change from all the fitted clothes seen on these pages. And fyi, midi skirts are all the rage now.

  13. I like the outfit and she looks good in it but why do celebs insist on packing such giant bags for a night out? I don’t care if it’s a $5000 bag – unless you’re going to work for a whole day all you need is a clutch.

  14. I like the look. Just wish she had changed the hair to a sleek pony tail and a brighter lip color, skipped the earrings. Would have taken it up a notch.
