On anyone else the dress would’ve looked like any other printed dress but on Sonam Kapoor the Marios Schwab 3D Crystal Print dress really shines. Love how she paired her dress with a pair of hoops and a Balenciaga bag.

my question is do you have to dress down when you are endorsing a cause? she looks great! even though i don’t like the print at all but the cut is nice. like always she carries it very well.
I think you can play a little modest when you go for a cause like “joy of giving”… you dont want to carry around a bag that cost a year worth of education of 100 kids. Its not a written rule, but plain sensitivity, i think.
Nice fit. But that dress pattern is ugly. The bag does not go with the dress – it looks like a work bag for a professional woman not an event bag.

AGREED! The dress is so-so but Sonam makes it shine. Girl has charisma and confidence- she always manages to shine through whatever she’s wearing. Not to pick on anyone, but compare this to the previous post on Amrita Rao and look at the different vibes you get from the pictures :)

Whether she looks good or not is subjective- what she needs props for is the fact that she steps outside the Leger/ BCBG/ Bebe/ whatever tight short dress- formula, to wear new, interesting designers. It looks like she knows fashion, and is not just one to jump on whatever bandwagon currently rules the roost.

Hmm…This dress has no hanger-appeal for me at all. I think I’d look right through it , if it was on a rack. Oddly enough, her smile seems to make up for all that ugrh-iness. She seems to borrow heavily from the 80′s in terms of the bold accessories and the dress form. Never a dull photographic moment with this one.

Do not like the bag with the outfit. Shoes are nice though. Why is it when she carries a brown bag with a black outfit no one seems to mention anything but when it’s Ash the verdict is guilty of fashion crimes?
1. There is nothing wrong with carrying a brown bag with a black dress- neturals neutrals
2. Ash was wearing an ugly blouse AND and REALLY ugly brown leather jacket that she matched the bag to
3. The blue and reddish hues in the dress work well with the bag’s shade of brown- so she looks a little more pulled together than a person wearing just neutrals would- like she put more thought into it :)
p.s. I love Ash too, just stating the facts
