In Anamika Khanna

There’s a lot I can credit Sonam with. Making me like this outfit isn’t one of them!

The Anamika Khanna look with three very distinct prints (that had little to do with each other) had us feeling dizzy with the visual overload. The toile de jouy meets wealthy, eccentric social butterfly aesthetic just wasn’t working. And this is coming from us, unapologetic fans of prints, prints, prints!

  1. …and unapologetic fans of Sonam as well, ha ha 😉

Seriously though, this looks like someone threw up all over the poor girl.

  2. Perhaps only Sonam with her statuesque proportions and her instinct for fashion should/ would/could attempt this. In that sense she’s miles ahead of Kangana, who’s is still in that safe zone of wearing things that suit her and will look good on her. Sonam, I thinks sometimes uses herself as a canvas, in a fashion for the sake of art manner. I would love this outfit in a painting form!
Having said that she really needs to work on her make- so dry and dusty looking.

    • LOL you serious? “Kangana, who’s is still in that safe zone of wearing things that suit her and will look good on her” um..that is the point!! Wear clothes that look good on YOU and suit YOU, not just clothes that are trendy which is what Sonam sometimes does. For the sake of fashion? You’re not doing fashion/art any favours by wearing clothes that don’t suit you.

      • It’s really not about doing anyone/thing any favors.. but it calls for redefinition of clothing… fashion redefines something is meant to protect and cover you into something that expresses and portrays you. It may or may not ‘suit you’ , be ‘attractive’ per se, because that’s not what the game is about for some ppl.

  3. Yowzer! What was Anamika Khanna thinking? What was Sonam thinking? What was her stylist thinking?

This has to be like the emperors new clothes right? Where they’re in on the joke

What other explanation can there be for this monstrosity

  4. Another miss from Sonam. This is the most dizzying outfit ever, I love Anamika Khanna but this is def no where close to Anamika’s best. Sonam, if you’re reading this.. PLEASE STOP WEARING JARRING AND CONFUSING PRINTS FOR A WHILE. We know that you love fashion and we love you for that but this is seriously getting ridiculous. Just try to wear something simple and striking for once.

  5. The half sari meets Milan/Paris print meets Victorian furnishings. And a black belt! Lowest degree of fashion competence. Go back to the drawing board.

  6. i find her really boring. She was nice to look at when she first arrived at the scene. But soon I realised she’s so put together. She, unlike Kangana, does not have her own sense of style.

  7. LOVE IT! Because print, obviously. The fabric is light & airy so it keeps the look from being too heavy (smaller earrings wouldn´t hurt but it´s a minor). & her height helps as well. She looks statuesque, very bold.
& P&P, the prints DO have something to do with each other: the color palette which helps the look be cohesive. But I understand, this one is going to be a love or hate one.
Sonam is definitely right there with Solange Knowles, a step ahead of the game, in makers of bold fashion statements.

    • I can’t understand the comparison to Solange Knowles
She injects so much personality into everything she wears that even the quirkiest outfits work on her. She also has a very distinct sense of style

      Sonam just doesn’t
And she lets the clothes wear her sadly

She’s more about fashion that style
Whereas Solange Knowles is all about personal style

  8. I seem to be in a minority here but i actually like this look! She looks elegant, pretty and oh-so-statuesque, like only she can! The outfit might not be the best, but Sonam sure as hell works it!

  9. Too many focus points in this dress. Its a hodge podge – eyes are drawn to the various prints, the collar, the belt, and to top it – the earrings. This does not work at all.

  10. Omg whats wrong with Sonam? She looks disastrous! Can’t believe its Anamika! I totally agree, I wish Sonam would finally wear something simpler and stop having these crazy hairstyles (dislike the way it’s always hairsprayed way too much that it starts shining), side swept hair and more simpler hairstyles look elegant as well as decent. Other than that, Rhea Kapoor should just stop doing experiments on Sonam. Tanya, you really need to get back go work with Sonam, all her recent outfits have been so hodge-podge and disappointing!

  11. This makes her look like an aging Victorian society matron with fading eyesight – or else why would you wear that mish-mash of prints? Antique sari left-overs?
