Keeping It Simple
At a recent award ceremony, Sonakshi kept it simple in a brocade kurta and patialas. As a look it’s not much to write home about and for an Award, dressed down… But, Ms. Sinha did look lovely.
I will add here though, Payal slightly disagrees. She can’t help but think the look was missing a dupatta. You agree?

Seen this on Priya Dutt too I believe. But Sonakshi does look nice and fresh….don’t think a dupatta is necessary.
She looks like the girl next door. I agree, the look is missing a dupatta.
She looks nice, if she was going to the bookstore.
She looks lovely!! A dupatta might look a little overwhelming with all black n gold happening, bangles n open hair.
its a strange look to wear to an awards show – looks more appropriate for welcoming guests home on diwali!
I agree with Payal about the dupatta. I dislike when people don’t wear the dupatta with a salwar kameez.
as a punjabi, suit is never complete without a dupatta for me. She sure looks lovely but incomplete.
Agree with Payal on the dupatta bit….but she looks lovely………love the simplicity
I agree. A Patiala ain’t a patiala until its worn the way its meant to be – with a short kurta and a dupatta.
Didnt Priya Dutt wear a similar one?

Both look good.
The whole look is too stark and dark and makes her look shapeless. What is there to like about this appearance?
most ordinary look for me…..unappropriate for an awards function.looks as if she just walked out of her house wen a neighbourhood aunty called out!
Dislike completely. Dupatta or no dupatta, nothing fashionable about this look.
Suit is nice, but not really doing anything for her shape. And yes, as someone else stated, as a punjabi, a suit is not complete without a dupatta – especially when going out! And to an awards function at that!
She looks lovely, but the look is more approppriate for a simple dinner party at home
I agree with Payal… Without a dupatta or handbag, it looks like something is missing
for a change she looks bearable! i m still not over the shock of having a close up of her on FNO! she was a live fashion faux pas! with a pancake face!
a dupatta wud still have made it a lil ok for some award function..but without that it looks inappropriate for such an event.. about the dupatta/ no dupatta debate.. its kinda ok to wear when the top is loose like a kurta..but when it is fitted then a dupatta is a must.. thats the thumb rule by which we wear it… also her patiala seems all wrong.. it is supposed to be loose at the bottom.. not gathered like it is on her… this one looks more like a harem pant or something..
agree!
She looks nice but that is certainly not an award night/day look. Also,I personally prefer a dupatta with a suit no matter what kind it is.
