The Delightful and the Dowdy

Minus the draping, Sridevi sure delighted much more than the rest of the Khan ladies.

Simone had a color advantage but her aubergine sari just fell flat. Farah probably was showcasing her own jewellery, but the beautiful necklace just blends with her sari instead of standing out. Moving on to Laila! Wow, who knew Laila was a huge Poonam fan! 😉

  1. heyy you titled both pictures as Sridevi..

btw, did u see pictures of hrithik and suzanne together? i just saw them and NOTICED that he was holding her GOLD clutch, thought it was kinda funny haha..

but sridevi looks really good, and the lady in blue (in the bottom pic) should have chosen a clutch or nothing at all rather than that weird purse thing.

i lke the purple sari.. but the woman looks so tired!!.. btw is she related to suzanne?

  3. wow, all these saris are so bad. they remind me of aunty-trying-to-be-modern saris.

sridevi’s sari is just okay, better compared to the others, but not by far. i think it looks a bit cheap, as if i just saw it on one of ekta kapoor’s saas-bahu shows or soemthing.

  4. @Dur lol

Sridevi rocks the rest 3 scare me. I think Farah should look at other career options because her jewellery looks really fake and OTT (It is like the ones they used to wear in Doordarshan’s Mahabharat show …)

  5. Sridevi’s sari is not very nice but she still looks gorgeous. I like Farah Khan’s sari minus the crazy jewelery. Laila and the other lady are seriously fugly.

  6. Don’t care for Sri’s blouse on her (blouse is nice by itself), hate the peek-a-boo pallu, but she is looking good nonetheless. She can never go wrong with sarees.

I second herdisnot on the other three!!! Thats hilarious, now where is Macbeth???

I DO love me some Shakespeare
Sridevi looks better than the other three…but I still don’t like it
also- about the abds, the only way it’s possible I think (what I have to do): eat like a rabbit and work like a pack-mule
    …OR liposuction I guess :/

  8. Sridevi looks great, but i dont like her succumbing to the bad sari drape.. and also, that sari looks too light and breezy for an evening function..

  9. thanks cb,pd, dn…gotta love sridevi…the dame stands out even in dullsville duds. I so dislike the chamakdhamak, even sridevi’s .Her bronze clutch so mismatches with the blingy silver. Yet, she still looks fab. But the khans, o’lordie…queens of tackidom.I am reaching out for my shades now.

  10. I love Sridevi but that is a terrible saree she is wearing and the draping is a total no no for me so cant like that at all…I quite like Farah Khans look.. the smaller necklace would have looked better but you r right PnP, it blends in and does not stand out….
p:s Don’t you guys think Simone Khan resembles Rachael Leigh Cook?? I think she is the prettiest of the khan sisters….

  12. Laila Khan’s blue saree is the same she wore during Fardeen and Natasha’s wedding. Only the big border was worn up then, unlike now. lol, don’t even ask me how I know.. Not posting the link, its not allowed in comments right?

  13. I love Sridevi’s look, the individual elements of it not so much. But that’s what style is often about, right – taking not-so-great pieces and putting them together to vreate a marvelous look? Well, Sridevi does it with great panache!
