  1. “You can take a girl out of the 90’s but u can’t take the 90’s out of the girl ” quote inspired by the velvet blouse thing.. Shilpa looks drop dead gorgeous with that perfect waist but most her looks have this 90′ s hangover..

  2. For some reason , I find this tacky. I always find outfits on shilpa tacky. I think it’s the lipstick & hair. But that body is fantastic. Damn, I would do anything to have that kind of a body at her age.

        • Salwar Kamiz has been the traditional clothing of punjabis, people from j&k ,Himachal etc in India from centuries.Rest of India has been influenced by them and now whole of India wears salwar Kamiz.Just like whole of India wears lehenga choli, half sarees, sharara, gharara, sarees etc

    • You mean Diwali is a Hindu festival so you don’t understand why the salwar kameez? lol. Yeah some clothes have religion behind it but not every clothing. Indian clothes have been influenced by all the invaders from Turks to Afghans and various other empires which ruled India at several phases. We wear the blouses for sarees because that is what the British influenced us to do. 😛 Every state, region has its own “traditional”wears but now it is all intermixed.

  3. Uff!!! Look at that perfect body and slender waist. Not even one Victoria Secret Angel model can even remotely come close to that perfection of her figure.

  4. I know this is not a fashion related comment and I don’t know if gets posted or not.

Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali!! Everyone in India, please consider thinking before firing crackers about the effects of it on environment, children and animals. Making crackers involves child labor, whose delicate tiny fingers are forced to make, produce crackers. Firing crackers causes air pollution, sound pollution, animal abuse and injuries/accidents to children and others. Try to celebrate a fire cracker free Diwali. Just requesting you. If you really want to fire crackers , there is an organisation called ‘Round Table’ which makes crackers without any child labour and pollution free crackers, you can buy them. Have a safe Diwali. 🙂

  5. The best Diwali outfit this season. But I agree with the 90s styling comment . The hair could have been different… a loose, braided updo or something lighter.
