In Abho

Shilpa helped inaugurate/launch a jewelry store in Mumbai earlier today and for the occasion picked a suit by Abho. Wearing her hair down, she finished out the look with some serious diamond jewelry and a pair of Saint Laurent sandals.

First things first, Shilpa’s choice of suit really surprised me. And that said, I wish I was blown away by the look! But both the hair color and jewelry of choice were much too strong/harsh for the suit and really brought down a look that attempted to throw a perfect curveball at us.

Shop the Abho suit on Carma here.

      • That red panel running vertically down from the middle of the neckline is actually a part of the ribbon she pasted after having cut the it. 😛

Seriously, a stunning body can’t always make up look everything classy. Her clothing choices never fail to surprise me (not in a god way!). Her hair are so “tightly” stuck in the previous era.

  1. Can we please stop commenting about Shilpa’s hair color (or for that matter, any celebrity featured on the blog)! Hair color is a personal choice and that fact that the writer(s) behind this article don’t like her hair color is YOUR preference. Personally, I think hair color should play absolutely NO part in the critiquing of her clothes. Considering the fact that this is a fashion blog…

    • By that logic, everything the celebrities wear is also a personal choice. Stylist aren’t exactly thrusting outfits downs their necks. If hair and make-up can be critiqued, then I don’t see why hair color can’t be.

    • Pras, agreed
Would also like to add the point that taking sure your ‘look’ is compatible with your hair colour ALL the time is impractical , so what is she supposed to do, wear a wig?
With dyed hair there’s really nothing to do other than sit and wait- of course hair colour can be changed, but how many people are going to change their hair colour within weeks of a dye job, just because other people don’t like it?
Clearly this isn’t a colour that seems to have caught a lot of people’s fancy, but bringing it up every time she’s photographed in the next few months is so boring. Pehli baar bol diya samajh mein aa gaya, no point beating a dead horse lol

  2. That dupattah looks like a disposable table covering used by food caterers.
Shoes are totally wrong and so is that necklace.
What a beautiful face and body, attire and accessories do a total dis-service.
The man in the second row , first pic also seems unhappy with how she’s turned out and unable to convey this to her.

  3. Dear Shilpa – Please note, less is more. Such a simple suit did not need the bling. I know you guys like to display your wealth, but man it gets boring! Also, please try a more natural look – you are so beautiful, you don’t need to be constantly made up

  4. She looks beautiful/youthful like usual. The suit is nice on her. But the shoes should have been a simple thin strapped sandals to compliment the salwar. This is weighing down the look.

  5. Personally I like the hair color on her. That’s something new and fresh on her. The suit looks great on her and I do agree that the shoe is a bit heavy.

  6. At first I thought the dupatta was actually a cape but hey iblove the interesting dupatta here but the jewelry and those yikes sandals bring down the look!

  7. I like how the color on the suit picks the color of the necklace. Love the see through dupatta which is not run of the mill. Since everyone is commenting on her hair color I must say I lover the rich red color on her. The shoes not so much but since they are white it kinda fades into the suit color .
