In Donna Karan
July 16th, 2009 at 10:49 pm . by PayalIt was another curve hugging dress for Shilpa but instead of a Leger, Ms. Shetty picked her other favorite label, Donna Karan. As much as I love Shilpa’s version, I wish Shilpa had skipped the bolero/shrug and swapped the clutch for something simpler. The clutch and sandals together just don’t work!
P.S. Yep, thats a Prada Whips Pietre Clutch on her.

I do not mind the bolero shrug, it give the appearance that it is a sleeved dress with a slit on the sleeve. I do agree that the clutch and shoes are a mis-match. Also the dress is too long on shilpa. On the model it hits the right length, at the knee.

I think the shrug is nice its the shoes n the length that are a bit off…. but she still looks amazing!

Payal the dress is so simple that an exotic clutch works pretty well here. It amps the look.
A simple clutch with a simple dress would have been very drab. As for the shoes…strappy heels in a nude or black version (even a combination of both works)…I think the she is wearing a nude/black version but the nude looks more like caramel in the photo.
Actually I am not going to fight it. She should have worn another pair of shoes..the semi sandal semi closed toe with the long dress is giving her a very mumsy look.
I don’t like that thing in the center of the dress.. is it a patch of cloth or just skin showing??

I love the clutch and almost bought it but then got something else instead. Anyhow I think she looks great. Everything doesn’t have to exactly match and her shoes and clutch look fine together with this particular dress.
