i like both saris….. but i didnt like the bottom orange half of Raima’s sari…… Shilpas is gorgeous!!

So agree with you… The orange in Raima’s spoiled the show!

I like shilpa’s saree and blouse. She has an awesome figure. Just detest the boob show there.

Love the pink colour on raima and how she wore the saree. Would have been nicer if the orange bottom was not there.

Although the vote is supposed to be for the saree and not the style of wearing it, i detest the boob show so much that my vote still goes to Raima.

I like both the saris. Would have definitely picked her’s over Shilpa’s had it been all Pink. My Mom has the exact same sari as Shilpa’s right down to the silver all over lining. I am drooling over Shilpa’s necklace. How fab is that!!!

i actually find the neck jewellery a bit too heavy for this light saree. something simpler in silver would have rocked it for me

        agree with you…

      2. kasthuri at | | Reply

I agree. Too heavy for that light saree.

Shilpa is wearing the most common pink leherya saree of Gujarat.. she does look amazing tho..with that body any common saree can look exclusive! oh and I loveeeeeeee bandhni..there’s no other print quite like it in the entire world!

I agree.. Love both the saris.

L-O-V-E Raima’s. Me want one now.

Ive always liked lehariya print more than the bandini print. I dont know why i find bandini very paindu!

    1. jazz at | | Reply

      very WHAT?? paindu means?

          fobby means ?

          1. SS at |

FOb means “fresh off the boat”, and implies a certain kind of nouveau tackiness.

            Is this a genuine question?

      2. lara at | | Reply

it is ignorant and immature to assume that bhandni prints are ‘paindu’ and ‘fobbish’.

I like Shetty’s sari but i like the way raima wears her’s.

Shilpa we all envy ur bod … no need to rub it in time n again :)

    1. Geethanjali at | | Reply

huh agree to the second line ! I am waiting for her to have a baby or something…though i am not even 1% sure that, that bod of hers will ditch her anytime soon ;)

I like Shilpa’s. I understand where Raima’s design is coming from, but it doesn’t have that same impact as Shilpa’s sari.

Beautiful sarees, but prefer Raima’s saree and look

I like Raima’s sari more. It’s very classy. The bhandhi effect takes an enormous amount of skill and painstaiking craftmanship and can take months to make one sari. Only people who are truly in the know about saris can appreciate it.

loving Shilpa’s sari and jewelry. I am sorry, but as hard as I tried, it’s impossible to not be biased toward Shilpa coz of that hot bod of hers!

Raima–pls ask your hair stylist to give you a proper blowdry!!!

I loved Raima’s saree and look until i saw orange bottom.
Shilpa is gorgeous but i love bandhini over lehariya.

Lehariya prints look good on tall bodies.Bandhini is universal.

I have both leheriya and bandhini (which, at cost of sounding immodest, smug, conceited, blah, blah, blah are better than these :) :).
Bandhanis with banarasi borders are just to die for. I am a huge fan.
I would any day pick Raima’s over the leheriya.

Payal- Bandhani, as far as I know may not always be in diamond pattern. They could be in any design.

I like Shilpa’s saree, but the blouse and necklace is too Blingy

Raimas is more unusual as far as these sarees go, Shilpas looks commen and tacky. I’ve yet to see Shilpa wearing a really stand out saree, it seems like the only reason she wears one is to show off her enviable figure at all costs! Oh and her hair is looking very Soha Ali Khanish(thats Soha on a good day mind you).

    1. SS at | | Reply

I agree with you about shilpa..

I like Raima’s look overall. She looks great.
Shilpa has been doing so good lately; this look is a definite set-back! The hair, the blouse, the drape…why must she dress like Sherlyn Chopra??!!

  17. SV at | | Reply

Design wise Raima’s saree is better than Shilpa’s but Shilpa makes an impact due to her drape…not to forget her envious bod!!!

    WITHOUT DOUBT… HANDS DOWN…. its RAIMA !!!!!! i want it i want it……

This is no contest. Shilpa looks like a bomb. And Raima looks like she’s going for her Class XII farewell! :p

I freaking want Shilpa’s figure….she looks so gorgeous in Indian as well as western clothes. That figure is made to show off lovely sarees. Oh yes, love Shilpa’s saree.

  21. Chocolate Martini at | | Reply

Honestly I find both sari’s quite cheap. They look rather tawdry and B-grade bollywoodesque.

Shilpa’s look is fabulous. Loved her blouse. One person who can drape sari very well!!

    1. kasthuri at | | Reply

Oh my god ! Thats a well draped sari according to you ?!

Being from Rajasthan I LOVE both sarees..and they are quite common…I own them both!! The only gripe is that the contrast in Raima’s saree is a little dull for my liking…

  24. amber at | | Reply

i like both, but i really really like raima!! she has never disappointed which is not what i can say about her sister rhea. also, there is a very girl-next-door, innocent, naive vibe about raima, that i so like. moreover she embraces traditonal wear and entirely justifies it by the way she wears it. i realise the question is about the sari and not the wearer, i guess i like both, but inspite of shilpa’s hot bod, im only looking at raima!!

  25. s at | | Reply

raima’s blouse is sooo tacky and badly stiched.Looks nice otherwise.

  26. Shireen at | | Reply

I like the orange a pink combination of raima’s sari.. Shipa’s saris is a very very regular leheriya print.. she just wears it better than raima..
Had she worn the Bandhni sari, there would probably be more votes for that!

    1. lara at | | Reply

      i agree

Raima looks perfect…classy and elegant ..thats how a sari should be worn

  28. charan at | | Reply

Raima’s saree looks more classy and elegant. Shipa’s looks like a cheap bollywood rain song saree.
