The fun thing about Fashion Week is you can really play dress-up, have fun with fashion and be as outrageous as you’d like! Though not many of you agree, Payal and I adore Sabina for doing just that and doing it with aplomb. We also of course envy her for wearing Sabyasachi straight off of the runway, perks of being the label’s Business Development Manager I suppose! 😉

Which of her different looks (all in Sabyasachi) during the recently concluded Fashion Week was your favorite?

P.S: Look inside to see how some of these looked on the runway.

  1. Am i the only one who feels like:
    a) theres way too much happening in these outfits
    b) they are all a bit been there seen somewhere kind-of-looks
    c) sabya needs to try out something more fresh…he’s great but i think a reinvention is essential.

  2. She seems dwarfed by some of the looks, how tall is she? I love her accessories, well done! I do wish she had some non-sabya looks as well though.

  3. She ruins it for in the 1st outfit and the last one in particular. I would rather take notice of someone who takes the outfits and puts in a bit of their own style and wears it well. The looks on the runway are meant to seek attention.

She should play with her hair perhaps… the tied-up hair makes her look serious and a bit boring now. The 2nd pic reminds me of the red queen from alice in wonderland.

  4. Er..she certainly qualifies for the ‘bag lady of the year’ award in my opinion. Really can’t iamgine why people bend over backwards over Sabya..even his saris have stopped being appealing…now its all same ole same ole….get a traditional kanchi silk…or a kerala kasavu sari…tack a border in constrasting colours…add an embroidery panel…a granny blouse and voila…you have an ‘original’ sabya!…Incidentally, that is what even my neighborhood darzi does…and does it a lot better!

  5. The pallu part of the chotu sari is spoiling it for me, but love it otherwise. She is wearing 2,3 and 4 very well.

She is having fun with Sabya designs, and daring to wear stuff that other Sabya loyalists aren’t.

  6. i love these looks. yes they’re crazy, ott and just plain in your face. but they’re imaginative [nod to sabyasachi] and different. in a day and age where we’re all bound by routine and following norms in society, its good to see people like sabina dressing as they please. its a right to be able to wear what she [and all of us] want.

i acknowledge not everyone gets away with looks like these, but to be fair if sabina feels confortable and happy in them lets leave her to it. after all how an individual expresses themselves style wise is really their choice, and theirs only =)

  7. OMG. IM IN LOVE WITH THIS COMBO – SABINA AND SABYA. LOVE ALL THE LOOKS! Maybe not the third one a lot, but im overlooking that. Sabina’s so stylish and a class apart from other sabya wearers. First one is the bestest sabya’s ive seen!
