Debuting a surprising new do at the recently concluded Fashion Week(s) was Ms. Chopra. To no one’s surprise however, she was also spotted in Sabyasachi. Have a favorite between the dress and the lehenga-sari?

  1. There’s something very Kahlo-esque about Sabina’s look. I’ve noticed that many HHC patrons aren’t fans of her stye, but I find something very appealing about her. Coming to these two looks, I prefer the dress, since the saree’s pallu isn’t gracefully draped.

    • O-M-G … i opened up this page to comment the exact same thing!!! she isn’t the most gorgeous face in town, but she has such a strong presence in images that it makes her a face worth painting. folksy-kitsch style at that. and her style only adds to her aura. and i agree that she is faring better in the dress here.

      • I SO agree! Just look at that face – it’s so arresting and she looks so confident. I checked out her outfits only after lingering on her face for a while! I don’t think anyone else could carry off that busy outfit on the left…Ms. Chopra makes it work and how!

        • true … i saw her once on tv long time ago … then she was just in a bikini … lol … didn’t have much nice to say about her … but the fact that she made an impression in mind to remember her says a lot … she speaks really well though .. maybe that was what caught my attention then. but coming back to her face … it’s friggin intense! i always wondered what do you look for in a person to want to paint them … and she is it … if i’d get a chance, i’d paint her! one man army she is!

    • It’s the surma-laden eyes of hers that cause that Kahlo effect.

I’m not liking either. The dress is okay but the mogra necklace and black tank sticking out that ruin it and that black of saree looks like muck/tar against the see through beige. Yuck

  2. I prefer the sari as there is too too much happening with the dress and the necklace (are those jasmines? shells? ack. I need glasses!). Also can she wear a bit of (brighter) lippie….just a teeny tiny amount would have been great with the sari. Agreed, she has a certain presence and this comes across through the pictures! ps. P&P: I clicked like on your HHC page…dunno why I didn’t do it earlier!

  3. That lehenga looks like, as if a lot of rag pieces have been put in together to create it. It s quite terrible and yet Sabina can’t be faulted. She carries off some terrible clothes quite nicely..

    • She is just this lady who appears on this blog cos she usually wears sabya clothes (she probably works for him). And her most noticeable asset – she smiles like kristen stewart.

      • She is a fashion designer, her husband is a top executive at lakme and I am pretty sure she is associated with some top fashion magazine like vogue. I like her style, a little quirky, different, sometimes interesting. She looked much better when she had longer hair. I do not care for her hair style

  4. PUKE worthy-She needs to get other clothes besides Sabyasachi, if I were him I would ban her from wearing as she is spoiling the image of the brand. The first lehenga looks like a rag doll look made of scrap pieces of fabrics- and the sari well india’s version of black widow meets Mumtaz Mahal
