Although Mardaani, Rani’s next movie, isn’t out until the end of next month, the actor visited the sets of JDJ to promote it anyways.
For the appearance, it was a black Sabyasachi anarkali featuring a gold embroidered dupatta. Neither do I like the chunky sandals nor the hair do, but something about this look still felt homely and like-able.

Homely is right. While the suit is lovely, it ages her, especially because we don’t see a flattering silhouette – she’s swathed in too much fabric. Aishwarya does the same thing, but at least she’s taller and can carry it off. And like Vidya, Rani must learn to look away from chunky footwear.

I wish she was wearing a brighter color… There are so many better heeled and slender shoes that she can opt for rather than chunky sandals.

The suite is just beautiful. I wish it were less voluminous or even shorter length. But Rani looks gorgeous…love the make-up. Don’t like the shoes either.

This outfit reminded me of Aishwarya’s funny, like the makeup though!
I love the outfit but I don’t think rani does justice to sabya!! The grandeur never comes across and homely is the best word to describe her.

Homely???? So that fact that she looks beautiful does not matter? Every actress is doing the lets play dress up for halloween. They are either doing the 20’s, 80’s, trashy or pin up. Its such a relief to see someone do normal for once. Love the outfit. Love Rani in it.

She makes even Sabya’s outfit look so drab/ordinary. Hate it on her. Like Vidya Balan, she finds the most ugly/chunky shoes always to wear.
