Festive Spirit

Celebrating Saptami in Mumbai were cousins Rani & Kajol with their extended families with Rani picking a sari by her favorite designer, Sabyasachi. No surprise there.

The surprise factor was brought by Kajol who looked so different in her sari complete with the traditional red bangles. Loved this avatar of hers! (Hope to see more…)

  1. FINALLY, a look of Kajol’s that I LOVE! Rani, please make sure your cousin stays in this avatar for a while 😛
Rani looks amazing, as usual. Some people positively glow in saris!

  2. Like Kajol’s saree. Dislike her blouse style and it strong contrast. The red bangles, big bindi, earnings, threaded necklace, hairstyle – nothing seems to be working. It is different for sure, but not for the good.

What do you really like about this look?

    • Agree with SeXYDevil… the sari is nice prolly not suitable for Durga Puja, espcially with that blouse. And Kajol looks tired here… She looked her usual radiant self at Sanjay/Manyata’s celebrations.

  3. Not liking Kajol here… I mean in theory her look should work right ?
But its not… I feel its the way the hair is pulled back too tight, its making her face look big…For a bindi of that size, maybe the hair should have been let down… And plain red bangles MIGHT (maybe) have worked with that saree, but those blingy ones are just clashing…

  4. kajol looks so much like her mom in this pic, i agree that the look ages her a lot, but considering how she dresses, this is an improvement.

  5. I love this look of Kajol’s. I disagree that it ages her .. I think she looks her age and when she tries to look young she ends up in WTHeyys.
I love the pulled back hair and big bengali bindi.

  6. i love rani’s sari. a bit OTT for me for a puja outing, but then again i’d probably be dressed in a sari like kajol’s.

    LOVE THEM BOTH here.

puja greetings and blessings to all! :)))

  7. i like rani’s look.
though kajol looks different, but the sari is not for a traditional event. Her bindi, bangles would have looked good with a traditional saree.

  8. Rani rocks, and Kajol looks like a sweet maharastrian auntie who forgot her bhaji shopping bag. No matter, Kajol was never defined by her style, and she is a fantastic actress. Her green saree look at the dutt’s do did much for her in the glam dept. this one is too gharelu.

  9. Kajol oh kajol, lookin lk an auntiji on the way to market to buy vegetables, boring and sloppy. The only saving grace is her wonderfully expressive face that we never tire of watching and she obviously takes granted for. Maybe she feels she doesnt owe anyone an obligation but the least she could hv dressed better in honour of the Goddess. The whole ensemble looks like something she threw on the last minute after her mom (who wears better sarees) probably told her to dress up her age and her Padma shri status. The black blouse is totally off and looks like a cheap cotton readymade pulled off the shelves in a rush.. and the bindi is reminiscient of wat Rani wore fabulously last Durga puja. It is no better than the funeral friendly sleeveless white salwar she turned up in last Durga puja. Next to Rani who was impeccable, she looked like a maid. Kajol better get serious of what her husband Ajay said the last time on KWK, that his wife needs a stylist. COme on Kajol, dont u think its time to drop the irritating childish rebel act.. for God’s sake , ur mom to 2 kids and nearing ur 40s!!
