In Gauri and Nainika

I have to admit that as much as I am tired of Gauri-Nainika’s same ole designs, I really liked this version on Ramya (also known as Divya Spandana). I also liked that she let the gown stand out and omitted heavy jewellery. Now, if only she had skipped those multiple rings. Definitely, one of the better dressed ladies of the night.

P.S. Thanks ‘saya/preetha’ for the ID! Turns out we’ve featured her before and she shone then too! (see here)

P.P.S. Thanks ‘eclat’.

  1. i actually like her dress, she looks nice, only wish she had tried some other hairstyle instead of the pageant style bun, never liked it ever, but maybe its just me.

  2. color coordinates are vibrant but not fond of the silhouette. and me thinks she is genuinely top and bottom heavy& its got nothing to do with the dress.

  3. the dress is nice, but i don’t like how it becomes monochromatic satiny from the knee downward. a nice willowy finish would’ve been better. and the dress does not suit her body type. loving the one on the model though.

  4. Sick of seeing this tri colour gown every where. The red black combo looks unimpressive. The runway version looks a bit classy but…. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. wake me up when something better comes up perhaps.

  5. She looks lovely. Over the last few years her style has evolved very well. The dress is okay – the runway version is better, but would have fallen flat on the red carpet, the colours do better on her.

  6. I do like it, I am really not a fan of the color combo though, prefer the nude one on the runway more. She looks good overall (but would’ve looked better with makeup toned down a bit)

  7. Had no idea who she was. But she looks okay. A little taller and leaner would have nailed the look. Or maybe it’s just the camera angle…

  9. Ramya looks nice here. She’s one of the few South Indian actresses, and maybe the only Kannada actress, who dresses well both on and off screen. The rest of them, less said the better!

  10. Whoa some people are being unnecessarily harsh I think! I’m not too sure who she is but her face is stunning and the gown is also so nice! Love the colours, and it looks great on her. She accessorized well and I think the updo helps her beautiful features stand out. That being said, yes the longer, leaner person would look better in it but I think that can be said for ANYONE and any outfit.. OF COURSE longer and leaner would look better but we are discussing how this person wore it.. and they still look good you don’t have to be 5’11 to carry off a look well. How would this make her look short? It’s actually perfect for a shorter person because it flows from right under the bust, giving the illusion that the legs could start higher.
