With her looks and body, she could do so much. She has the most blah-tastic style, and her make up artist needs to go to beauty school again.
(Though her last dress is pretty nice)

With all the other heroines if I see something that they wore I can recollect and go ‘oh, Sonam was wearing that’ or ‘Kangna looked great in that’. With Priyanka not a chance. Her wardrobe is so … undistinctive. And her makeup artist needs to stop this to her, seriously. Her skin tone was always her USP why ruin it and make her more generic.

Could these outfits be any more boring and yawn-inducing?I think it’s despicable the way she keeps trying to hide her natural skin tone under tones of makeup. She is such a bad role model for the young, brown-skinned girls out there. Just look at how beautifully Deepika embraces her skin tone.

No matter what Priyanka wears, she will never look good to me, because insecurity can never look stylish. And considering the amount of things she has done to alter her appearance, she epitomizes insecurity.

Sorry for the rant, but my 12 year old daughter is a big PC fan and has recently been asking me to buy her the Garnier Skin Lightening product that PC endorses, which shocked me. Hope PnP publish this.

That’s heartbreaking to hear, Sandy. C’mon PC, stop sending out the wrong message cos Brown is beautiful ;-)

PC’s Garnier cream is for spots – and at least they’ve made that clear with the Dalmation dog. Don’t blame PC for your daughter’s insecurities. There is nothing wrong with having a dark spot cream – far be it for me to advise you as to how to raise your daughter but perhaps offer to buy her the cream after you’ve talked to her about how wearing sunscreen would be more effective and what the actual proper purpose of the Garnier cream is. The most important thing you can do for your skin is wear sunscreen. Having a bright and radiant complexion if this cream actually works isn’t a bad thing either – it’s not all about lightening your skin this isn’t Fair and Lovely.

As for the makeup being lighter in the face, it’s not that drastic, I highly doubt it’s noticeable in person it’s just the flash that reacts with it and that could be Make Up Forever HD microfinish powder that is doing that or something similar and not even the foundation itself.

In regards to her clothes – I really can’t stand the tight short dresses on her, Priyanka’s body type doesn’t suit it imo she is def skinny enough to wear tight dresses but her hips are very boyish and straight. Her body looks better in the outfit on the right. As for the outfit on the left, I dislike the separates I think the waist of the pants are too high to pull the beater over top of it. A top that was a little shorter would have worked better.

I don’t usually comment, but this time I had to. I’m absolutely stunned that someone is so naive toabout the implications of PC’s white-washed skin and subsequent endorsement of a skin product called ‘Garnier Ultra Light’. It has everything to do with the Indian obsession for fair-skinned women and PC is completely to be blamed for propagating this. She’s not the only one ofcourse, but she was famed for her dusky beauty so its particularly damaging to see her fall victim to this skin-lightening. The message that this sends out to her young female fans is doubtless very harmful. And while the Garnie Ultra Light does ot directly advertise white skin, the fact that PC looks 25 shades fairer than usual in the ad for the product make it obvious that its meant to be an implicit advantage to using the product and that it sends out the subliminal message that only light skin tones can be radiant, glowing and desirable.

And its clear that she has been wearing a whitening foundation in these pictures, and its ridiculous to explain it away as not that drastic. The point is that she is covering her natural skin tone up in truckloads of lighter makeup, and she has been doing this for a very long time, its definetely something she is doing on purpose to get a lighter skin tone.

And Bollywood and the Indian advertising industry are absolutely to be blamed for how enormously influential they are in making Indian women feel inadequate and ugly for not having snow white coloured skin.
